It's OK to be Takei!

In response to Tennessee trying to pass a bill to make it illegal to teachers to talk to kids about homosexuality (The law has been dubbed the “Don’t say Gay” law) George Takei has struck back.

Both with the website, and his youtube video.

Enjoy the song!

I’m liking George Takei more and more and the years go on.

That went up on my Facebook page yesterday. He is clearly the man.

I love using humor to poke at the nitwits behind this. Go, George!

Brynda, not so proud to be a Tennessean right now

I love it.

I think he’s doin a great thing. The type of humor, and the gay angle plays so well with his age and that wonderful baritone voice.

Its official, I am now a straight chick in love with a Takei man.

I want one of the buttons. For the history.

His response is a thing of beauty.

As a pal of mine once put it - live long and fabulously, George!

Well, that’s embarrassing – I’ve been pronouncing his name incorrectly this whole time. What an awesome, fun way to handle an offensive situation!

Great, good cause to be behind, and great for him rising above teh jackasses and poking fun at them.

I would love one of the buttons or tshirts!

Takei sounds like teh ghey. It was inevitable.

If I was a nubile gay boy I would be offering myself up to George right now.

If I wasn’t a broke-ass bitch, I’d be ordering a mousepad and mug right now.

George Rocks!

Shit, I’m a straight man, and I’d go Takei for Takei.

Fucking awesome!

That is as Takei as a three dollar bill!

Remember the school board member in Arkansas who resigned after making anti-gay remarks last year? I didn’t see it at the time, but George made this incredibly awesome response.

“Mr. McCance, You are a douchebag. That’s right, A douchebag.”

My hero.

‘What is George Takei’s boyfriend’s favourite hobby?’

Hey-o!

I only learned it from watching a roast of William Shatner where George told Bill that he was tired of Bill always pronouncing it wrong and maybe he could remember that it rhymes with “toupee.”
