I’m a Dad, my son is Kyle (aka Skirmie; The Skirm).
I plan to watch the entire final round of the U.S. Open today sans familial interuptions! A brilliant father was he who scheduled the second major to end on Father’s Day!

HERE!!
The father of a 10 yr old girl and a 5 1/2 yr old girl. I plan on sleeping until 1:00, since I’m working now and have been since 10:00 last night. Then I’m going to get up to watch the Indians vs. Rockies game. Living in Denver I don’t get to see many Tribe games. Finally, I’m going to try and catch a nap before going to work 10:00 Sunday night.
The woolly flock extends to 3 kids under 5, but we don’t get our recognition until the 1st Sunday in September in Australia.
One son, 2 step daughters and 3 grandchildren. Received cards from all but my son. My wife is taking me out for breakfast then I get to come home and watch the Winston Cup race. I wonder if the kids are trying to tell me something. 2 of the 5 cards on my desk this morning have to do with farting.
Father of 17-year-old DoperGal (the lovely and talented Sakura) and 8-YO boy (Halford, the Human Eel[sup]TM[/sup]). Had breakfast in bed, lingered there with my coffee while I read a little, got very nice presents from the family (Linda Ronstadt’s Greatest Hits album, sigh, a summerweight bathrobe, a pair of shorts, and a photo book of MLB ballparks past and present – woo hoo!).
After church this morning, I will go get my dad’s present, and maybe do some yard work, if the weather permits. Otherwise, I’ll probably just fart around the house, watch TV, mess around on the internet. Hey, this is starting to sound like a typical Sunday afternoon! Who do I complain to?
My almost ten-year-old twins (a boy and a girl) are taking me to the movies today.
Of course I’m driving, paying and buying them lunch, but it’s the thought that counts.
Seriously … I love going to the movies with my kids. It doesn’t have to be Father’s Day, that’s just a bonus.
China bambina will be two on the 27th. Since my time zone is ahead of you, starting at midnight I got to take her temperature and give her a done of infant Tylenol. Bambina woke me up at 5:30 and some more Tylenol, then we watched a few rounds of Elmo’s World. Later I took a much needed nap while ChinaWife and Bambina watched the world cup. Fired up the BBQ for dinner. Bambina fell asleep watching Spain Vs Ireland. I went out to buy a webcam to share her birthday in 10 days with everyone back home. Woohoo.
BTW, fever seems to be down, but I’m sure that come midnight, I’ll have to give her another dropper of Tylenol. Then it’s my birthday tomorrow and a really really really important job interview on Tuesday.
Another Doper-Dad, here. 23 yo daughter. She is in the Navy and won’t be able to come home until June 20th, so no big plans for me today. I’m going to finish putting the roof on the new patio.
Two daughters, one stepson; 25, 23, 23. I got cards, kisses, and hugs from the older daughter and stepson (they both live with us), plus cinnamon rolls from her and an Amazon gift certificate from him.
Got a phone call from my younger daughter. She lives out of state, and is the reason I’ll be the Ugly Grandfather in another 6 to 8 weeks.
My wife gave me a couple of CDs and DVDs, along with a very nice card.
I’m taking it easy today, just reading SDMB and watching the tube.
