In true MPSIMS style, I must announce that Mr. Rilch and I are visiting friends in Orange County, and it is raining like a sonuvabitch. It’s practically coming down sideways, and a flash flood warning is in effect until 10:26. (Why 10:26? What’s going to happen then?) That is all. Please resume normal programming.
I wonder if my fondness for dairy products will help us win ball games
It’s raining here in Ventura County, too… although seemingly not as hard right now. Maybe the fires won’t be as bad as I had feared this year. On the other hand, maybe the mudslides will be worse.
A committee is a lifeform with six or more legs and no brain.
From the northern midwest, it ain’t raining but at least it thawed a bit. For the first time in 4 years my mini-satellite dish conked due to snow pack.
You can tell you have no life when you cheer at a honkin’ clump of snow sliding off your satellite dish.
They’re saying rain the next few days. Hope so; it’ll melt off what I didn’t get shovelled.
I was just outside and it smells like a dust storm with a hint of rain. I might be wrong but I think Phoenix is going on eight months without more than trace amounts of rain.
We here in Vermont got two good ole’ fashioned blizzards in one week last week. On Tuesday night, 11 inches was dropped, on Friday night, another 8. OK, GOD, IT’S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE. SwimmingRiddles can’t afford snow tires, and the term “All season” really doesn’t apply to banks of snow. At least it’s not an ice-storm, at least it’s not an ice storm…
Tell me about it! I went out last night to go to the movies with the SO (The talented Mr. Ripley), in the rain (Costa Mesa, CA here) and when we got to the theatre it was dark and the employee mumbled something about “technical difficulties.”
It was raining when I got up, but now the sun is out.
Arnold, is your significant other really named Mr. Riply? Well, if he’s talented, more power to you!
Woke up this morning and had to pump about 200 gallons of excess water out of the koi pond. Good thing I’m off today. I think we get about double the rainfall here in the foothills than does the rest of the LA basin.
