grrr.
Congratulations on the job, Falcon! Glad to hear everything turned out OK.
It’s about 70[SUP]o[/SUP]F and cloudy here. Brrrr. Guess I’ll be wrapping up in a warm blanket and drinking hot cocoa tonight. No fireplace at my house. I’ll just have to set the couch on fire.
As much as I hate the white stuff, we really need some here. It snowed a little bit over the last few days, but now it’s just drizzling. I wanted to go snowboarding today, but I can’t justify paying $50+ for a lift ticket with these crappy conditions.

We’ve been spreading $h!t all over our snow. Talk about job choices.
Yay it’s snowing - I loved it too while watching it out my office window. I’m in the D.C. area too and it took me a freakin’ hour and a half to get home - normally a 15 minute commute. This time, people seemed pretty patient, except for the assholes who were sitting in the middle of the intersection when the light changed, thereby causing gridlock. Supposed to get a lot more Thursday, I hear.
Yes, our first snow of the season here in DC. It took me an extra 5 minutes to walk home this afternoon, so I got home at 4:50 instead of 4:45
The roads were solid ice- I was more worried about cars sliding into the crosswalks.

Here I was, waiting patiently for 303 days for snow. None to be found, not a flake (snow, that is) in sight. Its been unseasonably warm, and I want my damn snow.
So, last week, I go to Florida. Watching the Weather Channel midweek, I find that the temp is a balmy 5 (thats Farenheit, folks), and its snowing. Damnit, I’ve been waiting forever for snow, and the first time I go to Florida since I was 8, the temp drops and snow falls.
At least there was some left when I got home. The first thing I did upon leaving the airport was toss a snowball. They’re predicting more snow for Thursday, so I get to miss the lunar eclipse. Grrrrr. I just can’t win.

3 inches in Raleigh area.
Good news: Got the day off work!
Bad news: Spent it in a NyQuil-induced sleepy haze which I have yet to recover.
Still, it’s nice to watch peopole who have no earthly idea how to drive in RAIN suddenly try and tackle snow and ice.
Yer pal,
Satan
I’m pulling this little sucker back up, since. . .

Real snow you can measure with rulers and snowballs. Not the .04" of frosting.(how that managed to paralyze traffic for hours I don’t know).
We got six inches of snow yesterday evening here in Chicago!
Yes, it IS lovely, but extricating my car and driving to work is NOT something to which I am looking forward :)!

You bet, Sterling - and we faceless bureaucrats have gotten the ‘unscheduled leave’ bulletin, which means we can take the day off, but we have to use our own annual leave. So it looks like a late, relaxing morning for me.
Woohooo!!! Snoooooow glorious snoooooow!

We are getting the first snow of the season here in the NYC area! Whoo-hoo! As a displaced hick from way up the Thruway I am glad to see it! It is also warmer than it has been in days, local temps have been around 3-10 F with -25 windchills. Still, the local news is telling everyone to take Mass Transit and not to drive as the 3-4 inches we are expecting should play merry-hell with the slightly moving parking lot they call traffic down here!
4 inches??!!! Thats whats left three days after the plows have STOPPED in my old neighborhood!
WHOO-HOO!!! SNOW!!!
