While it wasn’t quite that warm here (Albany, NY) it was in the 50s for significant amounts of last week. Today, I woke up to very wet slushy snow. (Some of the slush is probably due to the ground not really being frozen any more). I was disgusted, even though I knew perfectly well that the warm weather was unlikely to last.
This weather is driving me insane. It was in the 70’s here in Akron the other day, now I step outside for a smoke and have to put my boots on again. Gotta love Ohio!
I’m so jealous!! I’m still holding out hope that we will get one more snow before the season ends. sniff
Tell me about it. Yesterday I was carrying boxes to our van (getting ready to move) while wearing a t-shirt. Today it’s snow, sleet, slush, bleech.
Opal, I hereby bequeath you all central Jersey snowfall from now 'til eternity. You’re more than welcome to have my share.
No snow here. But the outdoor thermometer on my car said 95 degrees today.
It didn’t actually “say” it, I think that would merit a whole 'nother thread by itself.
But you get my drift. No, actually there are no drifts. Just oodles of sunshine.
We now return you to our regularly scheduled breakdown.
We had one day of snow in Georgia. I came into work crying, “A mortal touched a unicorn!!!”
One person got it.
I am such a geek…
Well here in southern Ohio we have a saying. If you don’t like the weather here, give it fifteen minutes it will change. Personally Im am pretty pissed cause I was enjoying the springlike weather. But rejoice, it will come soon enough, then we can complain about Ohio summers.
We had a small dusting in New Jersey today so I feel your pain. I hate snow in March.
Opal kitty, you can have all of my snow from central NJ, too. The ground was still coated with the damned stuff when I got home tonight.
We need a harummph! smilie.
We usually got a big snow in April in Chicago, so snow is still in the air up there this time of year, that’s for sure.
Several years ago we got a huge storm on April 1st–I remember watching as my neighbor stood on the roof of his van so he could shovel it off. It didn’t last long, of course, but it was like winter’s final kick in the ass before it departed. That’s what it feels like today–it’s still snowing a little. I’m sick of winter, I’m sick of wearing lots of clothes and having my exposed bits feel cold most of the time.
That’s funny, when I was living in both Indiana and Arizona they said the same thing.
It’s still freaking cold over here, although better than yesterday when it spat snow all day long.
I can’t wait to complain about the Ohio summer!
Hey, at least you jerks got the lovely 70 degree weather! We’ve had to settle for high thirties and low forties for the past week and a half. Just enough to keep the parking lot flooded.
