It's snowing.

GET OUT!!!, FLAKES OF DEATH!!!, RUN AWAY!!!

A buddy called on Thanksgiving years ago from central Iowa and said “Whatcha doin’?” to which I replied “Having a beer in the backyard and smoking a turkey” and he told me it was 38 Degrees there and raining (but at least the snow had stopped), he was mad at me for a while.

Houston weather does (occasionally) rock.

I’ll see your wimps, and raise you ‘a bunch of lightweights’. :stuck_out_tongue:

We’ve already had two good 10"-12" storms. 11,200. Haven’t had to plow my drive yet but I have needed 4x4.

Oh I would have, but visibility being so low, I could not see them.

…And she was never heard from again.

About thirty miles south of Chique and all I saw yesterday was some sleet.

I’m coming to play at your house!
I love the snow and cold weather. I hate the heat and hot weather of summer, and look forward to winter. It’s my favorite season. It’s only about 50º here today, which just right for me. I have a nice little fire going in our brand-new woodstove, and it’s just perfect.
There was frost on the car this morning, too!

We had snowflakes just outside of Minneapolis. LilMiss and I did that “running around trying to catch a snowflake on our tongues” dance. The cats refused to come outside (wimps).

The snow lasted only maybe 15 minutes before turning into ice pellets, poinking on the windows.

Still haven’t broken out the winter jackets yet.

We haven’t had any serious snowfalls here in town yet, but we’ve had some small ones in the last few weeks. We got the first big one on the pass nearby (10,900 feet) in August. Shut it down for a day. Only 5,500 feet here.

:stuck_out_tongue:

According to the St. Pete Times, it’s 83 here right now but the humidity makes it feel like 92. You can come down here, sweety, we’ll keep you warm! There’s even a bar where the expat Vikings fans (Daunte is having quite the season!) gather and cheer. We’ll just have to slather you in sunscreen.

It’s been raining here, since sometime overnight. It’s chilly and breezy too, but not chilly enough for my heat to have kicked on since it got light. I am in a sweater and wooly socks, though, so I am feeling happy.

I adore cold weather and I adore snow, but I don’t mind that it waits till winter to happen, here.

Ok, it’s not really cold down here in Missouri, per se, but I’m sitting at my computer bundled in layers and shivering because they have this quaint tradition of not turning on the heat until November and it has been getting cool at night and the sun hasn’t come out yet today to warm things back up. Never froze like this while sitting inside when I was up in civilized Saskatoon where they’ve already had snow a couple of times this season but know how to deal with it (don’t even get me started on drivers down here in Missourah when it snows, 'cause then I’ll really be writing in run on sentences…).

Drivers in the great plains/lower midwest seem to think that driving in snow is just like driving in good weather, only whiter.

Ever seen a guy in an escort gt try to get up a steep hill in ice over and over and over, sliding around until completely perpendicular to the street, blocking traffic? Happens every time it snows here in Lawrence.

It’s been long sleeve weather, but not particularly cold. Of course, it could be in the 80s tommorow and snow on wednesday. Ahh, Kansas.

Hey, at least it’s not like in Chicago where, as soon as there’s a single flake in the air people seem to forget how to drive, act as if they’ve never seen snow before in their lives and panic.
