It's summer time and hot. What's your favorite ice creme treat?

  1. I usually keep half gallons (now marked down to 1 1/2 quarts) in my freezer. If there are treats, it’s a Klondike bar. But my favorite are Good Humor Chocolate Eclairs.

  2. No truck in our neighborhood, but at least we don’t have any ice cream truck turf wars (“Hello, folks!”).

Those tubular popsicles that come unfrozen? I could eat about ten of those in one sitting.

Otherwise, I eat vanilla ice cream in a bowl, with chocolate syrup and maybe some malt and a splash of milk or coffee. Then I stir it up into my own bowl of delicious milkshake.

I remember loving Coco Tacos when I was a kid, but it’s been decades since I had one.

What he said. I grew up with them as the ultimate “treat” in the summer. We didn’t have them very often, but when we did they were the BEST!

I rarely keep ice cream on hand, but nothing beats a soft-serve chocolate cone with “chocolate” sprinkles. Especially since I have jedi-like tongue action and never drip. (Hi, ladies.)

Also good, Aglamecis’ mint chocolate chip. Most anything from Graeters, though I’m an Aglamecis’ fan. (Yes, I am a 'nati boy.)

Soft-serve chocolate-vanilla swirl.

But there aren’t any soft-serve places left around here now, and that makes me sad. Just frozen custard, which I don’t like nearly as much.

Butter pecan is my favorite. But damn, that’s like asking me which one is my favorite kid.

I don’t eat ice cream usually, but do make a wide variety of sorbets. Mango habanero is one of my favorites. Plain frozen bananas are usually in my freezer. Likewise frozen grapes. I like put a couple handfuls of the grapes in a blender, top with lemonade and blend. It makes a grownup flavored slurppy.
