Anybody planning on getting stabbed today? Be interesting to see how many Dopers have a really crappy day today.
I’m not exactly planning on getting stabbed today, but hey! In this world, you just never know. I suppose it’s possible. I really need to look up some stats on the probability of that happening.
Hey, well I’m the friendly stranger in the black sedan
Oh won’t you hop inside my car
I got pictures, got candy, I am a lovable man
I’d like to take you to the nearest star
…the other Ides of March, featuring guitarist/lead vocalist Jim Peterik, who went on to be the guitar player in Survivor and co-writer of Eye of the Tiger.
Today’s rock trivia tidbit is brought to you by nothing in particular…
Well, if you’re going to be stabbed, it might as well be on the Ides of March. At least you’ll be in good company.
It’s the Ides of March.
Infamy! Infamy!
I’m not particularly worried. I am concerned for my uncle Julius, though. He and his buddy Marcus haven’t been getting on well lately.
Note of caution. If you are in the habit of using the quaint “et” as a past tense for “eat” today may be a good day to avoid using that term in conjunction with “two” or “too.” If you happen to fall into that trap, Good Fortune may look the other way.
My Ides of March: tending to a feverish 5-year-old while trying to get some work done by telecomuting. Oh, and changing which Dora/Diego is on TV for him every half hour or so.
I didn’t even know that being stabbed was an option…
It’s also me birt’day!
So, Happy Birthday! Almost as auspicious as Christmas, eh?
No, but I will be going to a comemorative party, featuring a caesar pinata.
We considered storming in in full plate to rescue the pinata, but that fell through. I guess I’ll be competing for the right to destroy it instead.
I never realized what a chock full o’ nuts this week is, what with Steak and BJ Day on the 14th (or 20th, depending on whom you ask), Ides on the 15th, and St. Pat’s Day on the 17th.
Mid-March needs a little extra celebrating, don’t ya know.
Well, happy birthday, FriarTed ! My birthday is tomorrow. Seems I missed the Ides of March by a day.
So it’s not entirely my fault that my day has been far from spectacular so far (and it’s not even 10:30 yet)? Excellent!
The Ides of March are come.
My birthday too! Grats FriarTed!
But they have not gone!
Maybe I’ll go across the road to Little Caesar’s for lunch.
They’ve all got it infamy!
I just want to mention that ,although it may be the Ides of March, , there is no such word as “ide” in the singular.
This causes me much perplexion .
Carry on.
Oh, that’s beautiful. I should plan that for next year.
BTW, where, pray tell, does one find a Caesar piñata?
