I am so sorry, Doggio.
Gordie was a good boy.
So sorry
Oh, no! I’m crying over Gordie’s passing. I’d think about Princess Pretty Paws every time I was with a dog in the rain, which was often, and through your comments, I felt like I knew him, and I knew I liked him. I’m sorrier than I can say, doggio. Damn, we’re going to miss him here in the MMP. {{{{{{Doggio}}}}
I don’t think I’ll even post about my day now.
FCM, holding you and your family in my thoughts.
Hugs all around. I’ll be back sometime after tomorrow’s surgery.
So sorry, doggio. That does truly suck.
JtC, it’s a good thing that GG is pretty.
Have a safe trip VanGo.
ace, the winter before I moved south ('94), we had eighteen days straight of weather that didn’t get above freezing. Of course, I was a ways north of you in Elkhart County (borders Michigan).
{{{doggio}}} I’m so sorry. I feel like I know Gordie and wish I’d had a chance to meet him in person.
Irked, came home, walked and et. I’m counting down the week at this point. I didn’t take any extra time off for Xmas (we’re scheduled our usual days, but will have an extra day of pay), but am taking two extra days off for the new year.
Stay safe and healthy y’all!
Howdy Y’all! Was goin’ to post about my day, but not now. {{{doggio}}} I am so sorry about Gordie. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. I never met him, but I loved Gordie. My daily post on the book of faces is goin’ to be sadder now without the daily pic of Gordie and my comment about what he and his hyoooman are up to. He was a good dog and was well loved and cared for. Still does not make his passin’ any easier. I wish you peace in the days to come.
I’ll make comments on other stuff later. Just too sad to do so right now.
May it go boringly!
Oh doggio that sucks so much. Gentle hugs for you!
{{{doggio}}}
I am so very sorry for your loss.
Same. Odd how attached we can get to pets we have never met.
Oh…oh no. I’m so sorry.
{{{doggio}}}
This week sucks.

FCD and his mom are here. They’re doing a lot of tests over the next few days, but MIL is finally going to have to face up to reality. At least tonight we’ll get sleep. I hope.
{{{{{doggio}}}}}. Nothing hurts quite like the passing of a beloved pet. I mourn.
And {{FCM}}. to you, the load you’re carrying is a hard one, but you’ll come thought it.
Sari, glad he had the sense to call you; scammers are the lowest scum and this one is lower than most.
pearl, thanks for the infromation; most Mumper names I can figure out, but your had me head-scratching.
Flyboy, glad the Jeep has been restored to health; of course there is tonight…
Pedaled 500 calories and paid my gas bill, now need to switch it to direct payment and my goal of not having to write monthly checks will almost be complete. Dinner has been consumed and a quiet night is hopefully in store.
{{{Doggio}}} Gordie was a part of this board too. I am going to miss him.
Howdy Y’all!
It’s A Rainy Night In Georgia.
Actually been a pretty rainy day in Jawja. I actually did a thing today. The Burly Butcher Sto’ got in a bunch of locally grown collards, so I went and got two big bunches and got 'em all cleaned up and in a big bag and put into the freezer. They are for the big NYD feast. We feel the need to make sure folks get their greens and black eyed peas on NYD. I also finalized the Christmas feast menu. Beast tenderloin, company smashed N.O.T., roasted bacon wrapped spareguts, roasted baby carrots, rolls and cheese cake with strawberries and real whipped cream. Everyone should feel well fed after that. The rest of the day was spent in much sloth except for the makeage and eatage of sup.
MOOOOOOM glad FIL is settled in a room and y’all can get a good night’s rest. Here’s hopin’ that a good solution is found for all involved. I say y’all did the right thing movin’ them here. I know it’s been an ordeal, but all this was comin’ to a head and it’s at least marginally better than if they were still in Flahrduh. Glad the Tobester got his hair all neat and tidy.
Taters yay for new faucet. Weird how we get all excited about such things, is it not! Also hope Adam can get seen and diagnosed soonest, poor little feller. Also hope your son can get his vehicle situation taken care of soonest.
GodBod sorry about your losin’ another friend. It’s OK to be sad about that stuff. Come in here to bitch and moan if you need to. We’re good for that.
Talky glad you can get a little sigh of relief and breathe a little. May you have many more chances for both.
Beep great news! Feels good to have someone validate sump’n you know you’re good at.
MetalMouse I did indeed come up with Pearl. It was the first name I thought of when I first saw janis_and_cO. I am a hyyyyyyyyyuuuuuuuuuuuuge Janis Joplin fan.
Boo I got twuck some new wipers last week. The old ones were in pitiful shape. It’s a smart thing to treat your hair cutter well.
sari glad Cerby is becomin’ a happy dawg. Looks like he found the right home. Glad you’ r son’s grandfather called you instead of gettin’ scammed. Ham is a good thing and Adam knows that. Smart cat!
FlyBoy hooray for the Jeep startin’ up!
Lily glad you tested negative for the plague. May your lovely wife do the same soonest. Glad she kept the appointment to get the sarcoma removed.
I mentioned to my mother that we had a Christmas party for work.
She’s used to my dad’s fancy-schmancy corporate Xmas shindigs, so she was all, “Oooh, what are you going to wear?!?” because to her, “Christmas party” = “Fancy dresses.”
Me, looking down at my PJs and college sweatshirt: “Probably whatever I got on.”
(The party was at a bowling alley. We make pizza for a living. No, ma, it ain’t a black-tie affair. I was just happy someone brought those little meatballs in jelly sauce in a Crock-Pot.)
Yes, I went in PJ pants & an elderly college sweatshirt. I was still overdressed. We ain’t fancy.
I hate bowling, but I did enjoy trash-talking my own boss and having her laugh in my face about it. 'Twas fun, all in all. A bit of smack-talk is good for team morale.
doggie. I am so sorry about Gordie. He was kinda us Mumpers dog. Take care of yourself.
I knew it right away~I was a big Janis head in my day….55 years ago. I loved how uppity and unabashed she was. Funny, I turned out to be uppity and unabashed too.
I must be getting really old. Good wiper blades (ones that have a hope of clearing sleet or snow) cost $38-36 EACH. Yikes! At least I got a rebate on two, if I remember to submit it before I lose the receipt. The lovely lad at Auto Zone even installed them for me, in spite of the wretched wind chill. Probably taking pity on the old lady with the oxygen tubing coming out of her face mask. His mama should be proud.
doggio I am so very sorry. My furry beasts and I will be holding both of you in the light
