It's the MMP for the (Hockey) Season

Where in the Bible do you find those names? I’m guessing New Testament because they sound kind of Greek.

Botheration. For the second time in two months, my check engine light has come on. The last time cost me a pretty penny.

Survived work. Coach was intresting to hear.

i got 2 Blackhawks jerseis(I wann do one as CaptainSerios) and i like the Kinds due to Justin Williams(A Kings friend sent me a Kings Stanley Cup Chaps hat)

: sends TVCTPMO and Sri Lankan spiders after BBBobbio :
:p:p:p

Hope things work out, Taters

Dude, hockey Pucks.
Big time.

So is that some kind of hockey slur, carnivorousplant? Because if so, that’s not very polite to the OP. Or to the rest of us who appreciate a sport that combines beauty and violence so effectively.

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

Don’t mind Flytrap, he’s the MMP curmudgeon.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 89 for the day. It’s like early Summer returns to south Jawja!

As I mentioned yestiddy, I get to spend the day [del]torturin’[/del] testin’ folks. Can’t wait. Fortunately I can do this to a bunch of folks at one time, so it shouldn’t take more than four hours, but I still get the joy of an hour and a half of drivin’ each way. Double rah.

Spaz those wonderful names come to us via Paul’s Letter To The Phillipians Chapter 4. They are, indeed, Greek names.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Le sigh.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Blurf.

I received a phone call yesterday afternoon that rudely interrupted my after irk nappage. My credit union was asking about some suspicious charges against my debit card, and I sat bolt upright over that little topic.

VWife and I went to Cottonfield County over the weekend, so there were some weird looking charges, namely for gasoline. The guy and I talked and compared notes, the big smoking gun was a charge at a Walgreens in Alexandria, VA. Nope, not mine, we went south instead of north.

The charge was killed without incident to me. After a little more conversation, he asked for the last four numbers of my card number. Didn’t match the one that was flagged. I have 2 other older cards in a safe place, and the charge WAS against a card I had replaced right after I got out of the hospital the first time because the mag stripe wasn’t working. The upshot there was I can still use the card I have and don’t need to wait for a replacement.

I think the bastiges got my older number from Dome Hepot because I had been there previously, and the card changed just before the big DH cyber break-in disclosure. Sucks to be whoever paid $$$ for a bad number…:stuck_out_tongue:

Wow! I didn’t have to get out of bed till 6:30!! But I think that’s because **FCD **kept Higgs up after midnight. So yay for some morning sleepage!

I have a bit of a dilemma. If you recall from my remote cruise posts, Princess messed up a lot in the early days of our trip, and tho it was eventually all corrected, it was a stressor. Well, I think they’ve done it again and I’m not sure how to handle it. We had booked a 26-day cruise, but they broke it into a 12-and 14-day cruise, with our onboard charges divided accordingly. When I got home and checked the pending charges on my credit card, both portions were there as pending. But the first one disappeared without going thru, while the second one has been paid. I know they didn’t just give me that money and I know I owe it.

I’m reluctant to call them about it. I assume they’ll catch it and bill me, and I’m afraid if I call, I’ll end up with my credit card being charged twice, based on their past performance. But at what point should I call? We’re talking significant money - over $1000, covering most of the trips my mom and I took in the various ports. I don’t intend to ignore it and hope I don’t get charged - that’s stealing. But based on their track record, I don’t trust Princess.

Now, as it turns out, my credit card expires this month, so they won’t be able to charge to the account once I get the replacement and I activate it. Maybe I should wait until then to call… Then I’ll control the payment and they can’t just hit me with a charge. Thanks! You’ve been helpful!! Seriously, I just figured this out as I typed. So there’s my answer.

On into the day! Happy Wednesday!!

Wednesday flavored blurf, y’all.

Happy Hump Day!

It’s a sunny 59 degrees here in Hagerstown (no more armpit for me) with a projected high of 70.

So we finally made the move, of course we have to go back and get more stuff but we are here.
Sah-dog handled the drive much better than I thought he would. He sat quietly between Sah-sons legs, no crying, no whining, no panting.
He’s having a lot of trouble getting off the deck though, the steps are shorter and shallow but he can’t see and tries to jump down them, landing on his face and/or belly. He did a lot of pacing last night, walking in circles, I think trying to get the layout of the house down.

Sah-son doesn’t like it here and wants to go back to my mothers. I told him it is up to him but he wants all of us to go back to my mothers. I think maybe a few more days here to get settled in and he will be happier.
He managed to carry in the washer and dryer by himself. He’s been hanging the temporary blinds as well.

I learned last night that no matter how comfy a chair is to sit in it is not going to be comfy to sleep in. I also learned I am too old to be sleeping on the floor. We couldn’t get the heat to come on and it was cold last night.
So the agenda for today is to figure out why the heat won’t come on. Also buy a couch because sleeping on the floor sucks and the beds won’t be here until Friday. Walk Sah-dog on and off the deck in the daylight and hope he figures it out. If he would go off to the one side it’s just a 3 inch step down, but then you have to walk through some bushes.

It’s a PITA getting used to a different set up. I can’t find anything. The kitchen is a mess of boxes and packing material.

Now I need to find out where I put my shirts so I can get cleaned up. I will be so much happier when everything is in order.

Irk is extra-irky today. It’s Go To The Office For The Monthly Meeting Day, but somewhere in the bowels of the videoconference system, my location was loused up, so I couldn’t join the meeting. So, off to my usual floor, only to find very noisy concrete drilling in progress. I woke up at 4 AM for this?

Hump blurf!

Off work.

Mess Dinner tomorrow night, better dig out my fancy Mess kit. Looking for three tix to the only Oilers/Jets matchup in the regular season. Determined to take the family to the game. Hubby’s company may get a corporate box - would be very nice

Gotti sounds like you went to irk and then couldn’t irk because irk is messed up. I have days like that!

I’m still down in the south forty. I’m through with [del]torturin’[/del] testin’ folks. I’ve been gradin’ tests (low literacy scores anyone?) and shortly need to go meet with someone at his host agency to show him some ‘puter related stuff. He’s new so I want to make sure he has the right username, password, and all that there good stuff. Normally I would just send stuff like that via email, but, what the heck, I’m here. I’ve also been checkin’ up on a few folks who are supposed to be doin’ some online stuff. A couple of them are in for a not nice surprise if’n they don’t get busy and soon. It’s like they don’t believe when I tell 'em I can check stuff.

Sari hope Sahson, Sahdawg, and you get use to the new digs soonest. Enjoy!

Whew - busy busy day! After we got back from the gym, we commenced to putting down pavers from the clothes line deck to the basement We got the first 12 down, then did some counting and realized we needed 2 dozen more, so off to Lowe’s (with a stop for lunch) we went. Then we came back and installed a drain trough that we’d bought years ago - at last it’s in!

Tomorrow, we’ll try to finish the pavers. I’ve brought several loads of dirt from out in the woods to help lay them evenly. Here’s hoping it works. But for now, we’ve quit. My legs were a skeeter buffet and they itch like crazy! **FCD **is hitting the shower, and I’ll be right behind him. I should sleep well tonight!

Howdy Y’all! Irk is over for the day. YAY! Green beans are simmerin’ away. Shortly I shall go throw the poke chops on the grill. They’re smoked so the grill is just to warm ‘em up. I got some N.O.T. sallit from the Pubic Sto’. I shall also bake up some rolls. Easy and simple just the way I like my men.

Evenin’ all!

Day orfe today- after doing both leafletting (doing tomorrow too, but I suspect that shall be it for a while) and football in the evening yesterday.

Was intending to spend the day gardening, but every time the sun came out enough for me to think about maybe going down the allotment, it all went 'orrid, and deluged. Autumn has definitely arrived, and not just the lovely purty leaves.

Instead, I stayed in, made cookies and roasted things for dindin, only venturing out to drive the landlord around moving stuff from his band. He got got by the rain, I did not.

Hope the weather’s better tomorrow, I don’t feel like delivering boxes of papier maché.

Hope you get settled in soon Sari. Moving sucks, but this time it’s definitely worth it!

Dindin is done. OYKW is spendin’ the night (yay!) and desires a soak in the tub. This means he’ll be all nice and clean for later.

The drive down to the south forty this mornin’ was, as Nuts says, ‘orrid. Waaaaaaaaaaaay foggy all the way. I’m talkin’ no visibility. Then it cleared up and got all nice and sunny and warm.

Thus hath been the day.
