Wow! The big 87!
Happy birthday, Bill! You’re in command!
He’s…80…7? Are…you…kidding.me?
Happy b’day Capt.
Nope. Born 22 March 1931 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Live long and prosper Bill.
Wait, I guess you have done just that.
Anyway…happy… birthday…and…best…regards.
Also Andrew Lloyd Webber’s B-day and Stephen Sondheim’s, too.
Four more days to Leonard Nimoy’s 87th, too.
Except he’s dead. And singing about Bilbo Baggins in my heart.
A Canadian treasure. I caught his one-man show “Shatner’s World: We Just Live In It” several years ago. A most enjoyable evening of stories.
In some circles it’s considered cool to make fun of Bill and call him a Has-Been. Well, you know, I can’t get behind that.
If any of you start a speech with “Four-score and seven years ago…,” I will find you.
There’s a holiday movie starring WS called, “A Christmas Horror Story.” He was really good as a radio DJ. I liked it–especially Santa Claus fighting off zombie elves and then Krampus. 'Tis the season. Sorta.
What I like about Shatner is that he doesn’t take himself seriously. Yeah, I know other TOS members had a hard time with him when they returned for the first movie, but I believe that’s all been put to rest.
He seems like a very decent guy who knows he got lucky in becoming a cultural icon.
