It's things like this that leave one mistrustful of the cops (RO)

Ahh… the smell of the double standard. How I love it.

What we have here is an apparant instance of another cop being caught using his position for his personal gain. According this article no one seems to be denying that the former policeman involved had been getting his pot (and at least once his wife got coke) from confiscated or training supplies.

He also had the great good sense to call up 911 to call for help because he was afraid he and his wife were about to die from ODing on pot brownies. Over a year ago.

And this past week he was allowed to resign from the force without any further punishment. And without any indictments.

To reiterate, it’s behavior like this, where the Blue Line of silence seems to be going into effect to protect an obvious shit stain that leaves a depressingly large segment of the population convinced that cops are just another variety of gang. In some ways worse than the Crips because they can count on far more protection should their nefarious acts ever come to light.

So a hearty Fuck You to former Cpl. Edward Sanchez, for being the sort of shit who’d use his position of trust in such a manner.

And a Glowing, Radioactive, Caustic Enema Fuck You to Dearborn Police Cmdr. Jeff Geisinger for trying to let this shit stain go without any prosecution at all. I hope this explodes all over your face, jerk.

So you’re saying he might be a dirty cop?

Rarely do I laugh out loud at print on my computer screen. Bravo.

“If you’re a cop and you’re arresting people and you’re confiscating the marijuana and keeping it yourself, that’s bad. That’s real bad. That’s like apprehending a bank robber and keeping some of the money for yourself.”

I agree any theft by a cop is wrong, but I don’t agree at all with this quote form the link. Pot that is going to be burned anyway, does it matter who burns it? Not the same as taking money from a bank robber at all. It’s not “real bad”. On my list of bad things a cop can do, smoking confiscated pot is pretty low on the list.

I’m going to say that if it was pot in the brownies he’d have to be an idiot to think it was possible to OD. The LD50 for marijuana is 1400 mg/kg for males and 700 mg/kg for females Cite . A 50 kg woman would have to consume 35 grams of marijuana to get a lethal dose. He’d have to eat twice that. That’s an ounce and a third of marijuana for the woman, hell, the brownies probably would have killed her first.

But what a way to go!
And I thought ‘death by chocolate’ was merely a dessert.

Yes, but as the dose of THC increases, you’re riding not one, but two curves: likelihood of death by overdose, and paranoia.

I mean, I’ve smoked enough before that I started to freak out and think I was ODing fatally, even though I knew in my mind that it was a virtual impossibility. I can imagine what the cop must have started thinking: oh shit, this must be one of those ultra-potent strains. Oh god, maybe this stuff was laced with PCP or ketamine or something. Oh, shit I’m dying I’m dying I’mdyingimdyingimdyingimdying…

I’d have to assume he was having paranoid fears about it being laced with something, otherwise he is a complete idiot. As opposed to an almost total idiot.

See, when that happens and you start saying “oh man, I think that shit was LACED!” that’s when you need a level-headed stoner friend there to laugh and say “chill, dude, you’re just freaking.” But being a dumb pot-smoking cop, he ate them with his dumb wife instead.

They played his 911 call he made while freaking out, he said something not unlike this very thing, but first he asked the score of the Hockey game.

There is ZERO likelihood of death by THC overdose.

 Right,
from your cite

rats, dogs and monkeys, dude, rats, dogs and monkeys.

Bold=CMCCMC fnord!

The person they confisicated from (who was gonna harmlessly burn it in much the same way) now has a felony arrest on his record, may do prison time and may face seizure of his personal property depending on the state law.

The same should happen to this cop.

Don’t get me wrong. I think that pot should be 100% legal. But the laws are supposed to apply to everyone equally.

I agree with you totally. Its just of all the bad things a cop can do, stealing confiscated pot is not that bad, as its going to be disposed of anyway. A bit like taking something out of someone elses trash

“ro” ??

:smack: I only figured it out from the other thread but I think it’s Righteous Outrage, which apparently has to be included like TMI now.

You can listen to the 911 call here, it is hilarious!

“Time is going really, really, really slow!”

Recreational. Coined by someone who was tired of being forced to read threads that weren’t very personal.

My RO on this would be at about a six, but the story of how it unfolded is so freakin’ hilarious that it ends up at around a 1.327.

Anyone have any potato chips? Cookies? I think the FBI planted bugs in my furniture.

Thanks.

Yeah, man. Bugs. Like big spiders or something. Metal spiders. That transmit my thoughts to the alien data bank at FBI HQ. Whoa.

As for the the cop from the OP, well, maybe it’s better to go out in a “blaze” of ignominy than a blaze of glory?

I haven’t smoked pot but I’m assuming there must be an up side to it as well as all this paranoia?
