Would that be “Branded?”
Yes, it would be. Followed by: “Branded! Marked with a sign of shame. What will you do when you’re branded? Will you fight for your name?”
And since you don’t have an offering to make to keep this alive, allow me:
Meet Cathy, who’s lived most everywhere; from Zanzibar to Berkeley Square…
That’s the Patty Duke Show.
I don’t know if this will be very easy, since it only was used for one season, but people may know it.
How will you make it on your own?
if that’s too easy, try
Let the time flow, let the love grow
let the rain shower, let the hope flower.
ANGIE! God, I almost forgot about that…
Let’s see…
I am the son and the heir
[QUOTE=jayjayI am the son and the heir[/QUOTE]
I am human and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does
Charmed
Here comes an easy one. . .
Look at what’s happened to me
I can’t believe it myself
The Greatest American Hero
Here’s one for my fellow old farts —
My heart’s calculatin’
My true love will be waitin’,
Be waiting at the end of my ride.
That’s not The Monkees, is it?
Here’s one of my favorite theme songs, though the show mostly sucked:
“There’s a new boy in the neighborhood…”
Move 'em on, head 'em up,
Head 'em up, move 'em on,
Move 'em on, head 'em up,* * Rawhide!**
How about this one?
Car 54, where are you?
But now:
Who is the tall dark stranger there?
Maverick is his name.
How 'bout this:
Is she blond? Is she tall? Is she dark? Is she small? Is she any kinda dreamboat at all?
Nope, not the Monkees.
Here’s the complete first first, sung in a dreamy slow style by a female voice…
"Don’t let yourself be hurt this time
Don’t let yourself be hurt this time
Then i saw your face
Then i saw your smile
The sky is still blue
The clouds come and go
Yet something is different
Are we falling in love?"
The lyrics were written by the creator of the show, who is also a movie director.
No matter! He’s hers and hers alone, 'cause Dobie needs a little girl to call his own!
(The Loves of) Dobie Gillis. I got addicted to it in the mid-80s when it ran on the CBN Family Channel.
Responding to Jayjay’s post #4 (as others have done), I remembered that theme song from “the New People”. It was sung by the First Edition (before they became Kenny Rogers, etc).
That show was quickly cancelled. Judging by the responses to that posting, I imagine the show had a total viewership of 2. (Now I know who that other viewer was !!)
Not exactly. I’m a little young to have actually seen the show (born in 1971). I only found out about it when a co-worker mentioned Lost being a variation on it.
