It's time for NAME! THAT! KITTEN!!

Howzabout Pie or, Shirley

Cheeky.

Sassy. Definitely Sassy.

<snerk> Seeing how Stella wants nothing to do with the tiny evil interloper, and has moved to the top of the bookcases, that picture pretty much sums up her feeling on the matter.

And thanks for all the suggestions, guys! What do y’all think about **Dharma ** for a name?

Ceefor

Battlestar Galacticat!

No, no, no!!! Don’t call her Cali!!! Nearly every freakin calico cat I see is named Calli or some variant. And while we are at it, do not name Iguanas Iggy, or white cats snowflake.

Thanks.

There is one name you can count on being used even more.
Sonic for a hedgehog.

What about ‘Damata’? The nickname will work even better when she is a Bad Kittie.

What’s wrong with Itsybittykitty? Itsy for short.

Or buff Cocker Spaniels, “Buffy”, or black cats “Midnight” or “Shadow”, or Shih Tzus and Lhasa Apsos, “Gizmo”.

thinks
Or Chihuahuas, “Taco”.
We did have some people once who named their white cat “Midnight”, they got a pass.
I recently tried to name a kitten I rescued, Pixel, because I saw the name here on the Dope and liked it and she seemed pixel-ish, but one of my co-workers adopted her and wants to name her something starting with a “B”. I’m glad she got a home with someone I know but she just seemed so Pixel-ish.

<<< guffaws!

I’d name that cat “Spot”.

Trixie!

Extremely cute kitten you have there. Congratulations!

Hmmm. I’ll always see Pyewacket as a siamese and Sally just seems to staid for such lovely spots.

Salmagundi? Potpourri? Salli-Calli? (Esscee for short)

Hodgepodge, Hotchpotch, Jumble, Medley, Mélange . . . ?

Sorry - - got too close to the Thesaurus.

I was thinking more like Andy Warhol, in which you cast a spotlight on the ubiquitous items (like cliche names for pets) but with a twist.

ETA: I probably wouldn’t use Calli myself, but maybe Opie for that kitty. That’s just me though.

Fuselage
Snufflesquoosh
Phlooferina
Peanuthead

My husband has named her Nougat.

Hey, that’s my name, too!

You can’t call her The Magnificent Fangmeyer, because I am reserving that for my next cat.

Regarding the clichéd names, my husband’s family had a white cat named Whitey when they were kids. I don’t know if that’s clichéd or clever.

She’s a very sweet-looking kitty - how about Sweetums? After the famous monster, of course.

Morbo
Trust me on this.

Cal

Short and descriptive.
