Damn you, Geico! Just when I thought reality TV couldn’t get any more stupid… it didn’t.
Care to let us in on what the heck you are talking about?
Well, the Geico insurance commerical starts off as a promo for a new reality TV show. The show would be about a couple that was forced to live in a house where everything is just too small for them. 5’ ceilings, 5’ beds, small hot tub etc etc. It’s produced in a way that makes it look like a real promo for a new show but it’s not.
(I’m reckoning this thread is misplaced).
What the…? How did this get here? Mods, little help, please?
It’s very misplaced, but the commercial is hysterical nonetheless.
Off to Cafe Society.

I loved the part where the wife turns down the husband and kicks him off the tiny bed
Best commercial on the air right now. A couple weeks ago, the week before “Desperate Housewifes” premiered, it seemed like ABC could do nothing but air commercials for DH (the really hot and steamy one) and Tiny House. Fantastic.
I’d watch Tiny House in a heartbeat.
I agree – I was disappointed the first time I saw the commercial and it turned out to be for Gieco.
Give me some Tiny House!
Yeah, the first time I saw the commercial, I was halfway through mentally composing my Pit thread on the utter stupidity and depths to which reality shows had sunk when the Geico tag was revealed. Extemely well done…
Hmmm, there doesn’t seem to be a link to it anywhere on the net. There is a petition to make it a real show tho’…
For the better part of a decade, GEICO has had some of the best commercials on TV.
I’ve still never called them.

What about a Giant House show. I think that would be pretty cool.
I was actually dissapointed when I saw it, cause I soooo wanted it to be a real show, just because it’s so insanely stupid.
I love when the husband first walks in,
“Hey, this in kinda cool.”
net cut, him angry in the kitchen,
“I just want to make an omelette!”
Ok, I’m not one to watch a reality show, In fact I avoid them pretty much like the plague. I guess all the backstabbing kinda gets to me. However in this case, I would make an exception. The reason? The oposition wouldn’t be other people, but the enviroment (the house) itself.
I think that this one would be kinda fun to watch.
The giant house would make for a interesting concept as well.
Heh, neither have I. HAHA!
This is my favorite commerical so far this year.
There was a Far Side cartoon along those lines; a shop with a really high ceiling and all the goods on ridiculously high shelves. It was titled “Inconvenience stores”.
Oh, I was pissed when I first saw that commercial because they fooled me! Bastards. It was so well done that it looked like a real promo. Amazing.
Yup, I’ve always been able to smell a Geico commercial before it was revealed…but Tiny House got me.
I did call Geico once but the wanted something like 60% more than my current insurance company was charging me.
“This is NOT AWESOME.”
