iTunes on an older Windows XP computer to new iPad?

Good morning.

My brother is trying to add CDs to the iTunes on his new iPad. His desktop is an older Windows XP. He downloaded the XP version of iTunes last night, and was able to sync the iPad once, and then iTunes would no longer open on his desktop.

He tried uninstalling and then re-downloading iTunes, but continues to get an entry error when trying to open iTunes.

Anyone else experience this?
