I’ve used the iTunes store only a few times to download albums and singles, and I’ve redeemed a gift certificate. Pretty cool stuff.
I’m in the process of getting college students to fill out short online surveys. To date I’ve offered no incentive, more of “advancing research for its own sake,” which has actually been okay… but I’d like to accelerate my collection and complete this phase of data collection.
A friend had the brilliant idea of offering a free iTunes download to each student who completes the survey - just a little recognition and incentive that might encourage them to put it at the top of their things-to-do-after class list. And the word “free” always seems to help!
However, when I go to iTunes, it seems to offer gift cards in denominations of $10 or greater. Is it possible to buy single downloads and send them to someone via e-mail? There is a new “Gift This Music” option, which would mean students would have to e-mail me with a song choice and have it send to them… seems like a hassle to me.
Any ideas? Keep in mind I’m in a different town than the students are, so face-to-face meetings are difficult.
