itunes versus Windows Media Player.

I’ve been using WMP for years.

I recently bought an ipod, which required me to get itunes.

I have considered myself anti-Mac for a lot of years (High price and low techinical specifications and compatibility) but the ipod touch and iphone have shattered one of those shortcomings. Both are overpriced (frontransicifally so, especially the iphone which is stumendously obfrafricable in price) but… what other portable device has a massive base of people writing applications for it? Yes, I’ve been wooed by the app-store and the apps themselves.

Anyway. So far I have been unable to fault itunes.
Pros…

No faffing about to get my music playing shuffled (and in a way that allows me to go to the actually previously played song when I press the previous track button) I just load itunes and press play.

It loads quicker.

It seems to be vastly better at randomness (I would find that despite having somewhere in the region of 50gb of music, WMP seemed to be playing the same songs to me every night) so I am hearing rarely heard music.

The music itself seems to sound better!
Cons.
Slight delay before certain commands (this is barely a con. I only mention it out of sheer OCD pedantry)

No ‘toolbar’ player. But I hardly give a poo about that.
