I've become everything I ever hated

This is a thread for confessing times when you were guilty of committing your own pet peeves.
A pet peeve of mine is when there’s a pickup sport or game involving teams and the teams are unbalanced. It’s awkward, because, assuming it’s a friendly atmosphere, you don’t want to be the person bringing up “well, let’s face it, Joe over there is way better than Dave, so these teams are totally unfair”. But at the same time, playing when the teams are totally unbalanced, even [ovli[ for zero stakes, isn’t very much fun.

So last night I was playing racquetball, and we ended up with a spontaneous game of doubles. The four players were fairly clearly rankable 1-2-3-4 (I was #3), and I proposed the teams be 1-and-3 vs 2-and-4 instead of 1-and-4 vs 2-and-3. This was a total brainfart on my part, no idea what I was thinking. But we totally destroyed them, and I felt really bad about it.

I agree. Unbalanced teams suck and are a huge waste of time. At least you aren’t the type who wants to make unbalanced teams on purpose because you NEED TO WIN!!!

Also, you could have changed the teams. You didn’t write them down with permanent marker did you? 'cause if you did, I can’t help you.

Also also, I had no idea you could play doubles racquetball. I’m envisioning much colliding and general chaos.
