Well folks… i’ve been mouth mauled and lived to tell about it.
Actually, it wasn’t bad at all having my teeth taken out. THey did it at 7:45 this morning, and other than being a little dazed by the Percoset, i’m pretty much normal. Sucks having my lower lip numb, but thats been stealdily normalizing throughout the day.
They did say I had 4 roots instead of three on one of my teeth. I guess I’m a mutant.
Of course, my mom has 6 lumbar vertibre instead of 5.
I guess that’s what happens when your family is from the rural, backwoods south. 
For all the dentistry nightmares you hear about, I’ve gone through two procedures that are supposed to be living hell and, honestly, they weren’t that bad.
Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out at once. (and they were so impacted, the lowers were actually trying to tunnel up into my jawbone. I was getting headaches and fevers from it.) I went out shopping that evening. Felt fine.
I’ve also had root canal. Not pleasant, to be sure, but I have a very solicitous dentist who is very sensitive about causing pain.
In both cases, though, the discomfort I experienced before the procedure was far worse than anything I went through while they were hammerin’ away at my mouth.
