What does it mean, to be “muted”? Does it mean that one Twitter subscriber has set you on ignore? Or does Twitter deny you posting rights, at the behest of one subscriber? Or does Twitter deny your posting rights on their own?
The difference as I understand it is that when muted my posts cannot be seen, but I can still see their posts if I wish. There’s a tool you can use to see what a timeline looks like from a person’s point-of-view to see if you’ve been muted. My tweets do not appear when I use this tool so I’m assuming I’ve been muted.
Jesus, me too! It’s the only thing that seems to let me ease some rage.
Although, I am sure there are more constructive things to do, like donate money to worthy organisations and volunteer my time.

You don’t get a notification that they’ve been muted that’s why you have to use another tool to see if you’ve been muted.

Muting doesn’t stop your ability to keep sending Trump a direct message …like say the post you made that everyone else can still see. 
And you answer me with two questions. I asked someone to define “muted” a couple of days ago, and nobody has responded. Yes, I’m being serious, when I ask what the hell “muted” means. I’d really like to know.

I did reply to your question with my understanding of muting and a link to twitter’s support page for muting. You even replied to it. I apologize if my post came across badly, I didn’t really mean it that way. Yes, it would be like ‘ignore’.
Could you point out which part of this article gives you this “tool”, because that’s not how muting works and I don’t see anywhere on there where you can view another person’s TL. You use to be able to do that with tweetdeck, but that functionality has been disabled.
If someone mutes you, you have no idea and while I loathe Trump with the heat of 1000 suns, he’s smart enough (sorta) to block people who annoy him. If you were actually on his radar in any way, you’d be blocked.

I used Tweetdeck and it seems to work. When I view @Potus I do not see my tweets.
It could very well be that I’m wrong. I’m certainly not a Twitter expert. I had exactly 3 tweet prior to tweeting Trump. Now I have 130 or so.
That would be too bad, I was kind of hoping I had been muted by him. 
The good news is then I can start tweeting him again! Yay!
Tweetdeck for desktop or mobile? Two different things and you are seeing Trump’s mentions if you are using tweetdeck for desktop, clicking on his account, and clicking on the “@” sign. You are not seeing if Trump has muted you since you cannot see his TL.
I have a tweet count… I’d not care to mention. laughs I also have multiple accounts for multiple reasons and a combined follow count over 10,000. I keep thinking I should do an “Ask the Twitter semi-expert”, but doubt anyone would have real interest.
I just check myself and he’s muted me too! Holy cow, what a baby. Who am I to be such a threat?
That’s what I did. I tested it on Trump and on a friends handle. I didn’t see Trump but I saw the one I tested to a friend.
