You can also mark entries “public” “private” or “friends only” to determine the security level of each entry. If you haven’t already downloaded the livejournal client, I highly recommend it. I never update through the web interface.
Bit of useless trivia
Ender is user #481953 and he has 5 entries
I am user #4799 and I have 2,904 entries.
At one point I helped Brad reorganize the layout of the LJ page. This was shortly after the site had started and the original look was just sort of thrown together. So was my solution, which only took me about an hour, but what it did do was move most of the links to the side, and put the whole thing on a notebook-looking page. The site has since undergone several changes, but you can still use any of those schemes. here is how
I was also the culprit responsible for the color selections they give you when you add friends through the web interface.
Oh, and I’m pretty enthusiastic about livejournal! Or could you tell?
I’ve thought about getting a LJ, mainly so I could comment to other people’s pages without being rudely anonymous. But I do like the idea of joining the LJ community (I’m such a sheep). I doubt my posts would be half as exciting or revealing as some I’ve read (anyone remember The Frightened Family? Ahhhhh!)
Actually, I read some of the Live Journals (just finished jay jay’s). They’re pretty interesting - the odd thing about them is that afterward I feel like I know the person. They, however, don’t know me at all. Sort of a one-way mirror effect.
However, those of you who think you aren’t making stuff public… well, think again. I might have to get one myself now.
Damnit people. This is about me. ME ME ME! Fucking me! Thia ain’t your thread to advertise. I’m the attention whore you whore wannabees. I’ll out whore you all. I’m out of control. I’ll do what I want! You can’t stop me! Nuh uh! Talk to the cyber hand.
After my friends list got to over 300, I had to go in and delete out the people who I didn’t actually read… now I only add people if I’ve started reading their journals. (I know this wasn’t addressed to me, but it is probably the case for a lot of people, so don’t get your feelings hurt.)
