I've made a snowgun - it works :)

I’ve been toying around w/ a simple snowgun design for some years now. It required constant attention as water had to be added and the nozzle would freeze up.
With the help of a web site that someone mentioned I think here on the SBMB, I found a web site (www.snowguns.com)that contained the info on how to build a real ‘small scale’ one that required no monitering.

I’ve always concidered making one like this but didn’t want to go through the trial and error stage. Using simular parts, I constructed one that would suit the compressor I have.

Just thought I’d share

So what are you going to do with this snow gun? Make snow to ski on your lawn or something?

would love to, but my lawn is not on a slope. It’s more of a curiosity, and a little insurance for a white Christmas.

Photos, man! Give us a link or sumpthin’. We need specs: Horsepower, gear ratios and flakes per minute.

Snow, :sigh: :frowning:

I was imagining something like a potato gun. You had me all excited about shooting snowballs at the neigbors at the other end of the street :frowning:
