I’m willing to forgive the JOAT theme any number of sins because of the guy with the peg leg who tap dances during the opening sequence. I’m not sure why I find this so funny, but it gets me every damn time.
In the interests of science (and because I had nothing else to do last night), I went ahead and watched Cleopatra 2525–theme song and all–before I watched Jack. My brain is dirty now, and I don’t think I can ever be clean again.
Y’all do know, don’t you, that the theme song to Cleopatra 2525 is not original to the show, but was a hit song back in the sixties or early seventies? The lyrics are modified for Cleo’, of course, but the tune is direct from the radio hit.
Apologies if I’m wrong, but you’re all talking like you never heard the song before it was borrowed to be Cleo’s theme.
I’ve seen it a few times, and like it, but I like bruce campbell, so there ya go. The theme song is great though.
Sorry to resurrect this, but I figured that there were some Dopers who would want to know the news. Jack’s been cancelled; Studios USA confirmed the rumors yesterday.
