Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty. 27 out of 31 charges.
Hearing covering possible sanctions, June 4th, final report September. But the judge is reccomending guilty.

I thought that was VT, not NIU. Not that it really matters. Though I do remember when that story broke on Slashdot there were several comments that not only was Thompson an idiot for jumping to the conclusion that the VT shooter played FPSes and that set the shooter over the edge but also comments that Thompson was an idiot for not realizing that Koreans are obsessed with StarCraft, not FPSes.

Yeah, he had a quote along the lines “trust me, when a kid goes around and kills as calmly as that, he’s a gamer.” (Or something to that effect)
I’m happy with this, hopefully this will at least reduce the noise we get from him.
"Before walking out of the courtroom, Thompson filed what he called “Thompson’s Formal Objection to June 4 Sanctions Hearing.” In the rambling, 4,500-word objection, Thompson questioned Tunis’ ability to preside at his hearing, calling her incompetent and arrogant and threatening to have her removed from office “in the days and weeks ahead.” He also went on to call the people run The Florida Bar fascists and denied that he was involved some sort of “petty culture war.” "
Edit: Y’know, part of me feels sorry for the guy, on the grounds that there’s a decent chance something is wrong upstairs. But at the same time, I very much doubt he did nothing to feed his crazy obsession. And this kind of behavior says “I’m a jerk” as much “I’ve a screw loose.”
And sometimes, reality is not only just… it is wickedly, karmically comic.
