I cannot confirm this personally, (knocks on wood) as I have yet to be incarcerated and, thank Cecil, because of statute of limitations. However, what has been told to me is from a close friend of the family and there is no reason to distrust her.

She told me that everything that was purchasable in the county jail was made by “The Bob Barker Company”.

“The Bob Barker?” I asked when hearing this.
“The guy from Price Is Right?”

“The one and only”, was her short response.

She swears that she is not making this up. My friend claimed that everything, including the toothbrushes, that she bought was made by his company and only sold in jails. I dont know if this is an Ohio thing or if this is the case in all 50, but I find it fascinating.

Can anyone else confirm this?

I am in Ohio too, and I work at an inpatient mental health unit. We have Bob Barker individual deoderants, soaps, toothbrushes, and rubber gloves. I was under the impression that it was a different Bob Barker though.

That what I want to know. You have every possibilty of being correct, but I figured that his name must be trademarked or licensed or something.
