James Gang Lyric Indecipherable 2 Me

Can anyone tell me the lyric in the second chorus of walk away? The first chorus says, “she just turns her pretty head and walks away”. The SECOND, however, is indecipherable. It sounds like, “she just mourns her pompous head and greets the day”. Am I even close?

You know, that has always bothered me a lot, too. I like a lot of the old James Gang stuff (but not really any of the Joe Walsh solo stuff).

I found this version on a lyrics site, which has :

You just forget what we said
And greet the day

And to me that sounds a lot more right that what Perderabo had - although I admit I cant figure it out either.

For what it’s worth I sent an email to Joe Walsh, maybe a .0001% chance we’ll hear from the source…
