My husband and I are enjoying Jamie Oliver’s new series. The food is inspiring, and even though they do edit out some boring jobs like coring peppers and peeling onions, Jamie spends so much time rhapsodizing about the food that I really believe the dinners can be pulled together in 30 minutes. Of cooking time.
Of course, we’re ignoring the planning and shopping time that would go into this. We’re also ignoring the fact that his dinners use up partial packages of some things… and a good cook would have to find a way to use the rest on another night. What would be REALLY COOL is such a show that completely uses up standard-sized packages of all ingredients within the week (I guess we have seen a few episodes of shows like that… there was one that was a financial-makeover show teaching families how to cook?)
But yes, so far, it is primo food porn. He’s way more palatable than Racheal Ray. What do you think?
