Thank you.

Trump’s Jan. 6 subpoena is expected soon. But what happens next?
The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack could issue a subpoena for Donald Trump, wading into what could be a prolonged, unprecedented legal battle.
Thank you.
I saw a cartoon of a man and boy riding in an elevator currently at the 46th floor, with the upper caption “New York City, 2075” and the lower caption, “Dad, how come buildings don’t have 45th floors?”
Also from that ruling via CNN:
For eight of the 500-plus Eastman documents the judge was examining, the judge said that the materials could be released because they fit in the so-called crime-fraud exception, which allows disclosure of otherwise privileged materials if the communications were related to or in furtherance of illegal or fraudulent conduct.
Four of the documents were from email threads discussing prospective election litigation. In them, Carter wrote, “Dr. Eastman and other attorneys suggest that – irrespective of the merits – the primary goal of filing is to delay or otherwise disrupt the January 6 vote.”
My bolding.
Lots of good quotes in this ruling:

Quotes so nice, they appeared twice!
Guys I’m kind of wondering… is it a good thing if a federal judge indicates that you committed a crime long before a prosecutor does?
100% agree. Trump will never be deposed by the Committee under oath, nor will he testify in public under oath.
If the GOP takes the House, there may be a good chance that they will invent some sort of Truth-To-American Committee, which will give him a platform to perform on—NOT under oath, needless to say.
So we have that to look forward to.
You’re right - I always thought it was upside-down, but here’s a clear image from the Boston Globe web site:
And the spine is visible in that picture. Looks like “Holy Bible” on the top - or at least two words ending in “-LY” and “LE” - and then three words top-to-bottom below that - quite probably “Revised Standard Version”, though most of Trump’s evangelical followers would probably prefer the New International or - dare I say it? - the King James version.
Doesn’t really matter. Either way, he’s never actually opened and read the thing.
To get that picture he had to violate a lot of people’s civil rights. That’s one of his pending suits, right? Him and his motley crew that walked across Lafayette Square all need to be sued back to the stone age.
He might have opened it but only to use the leaves as an ass-wipe, like he has to the Constitution.
Well, it is awfully full of, you know… words an’ all.
Is it? I must have lost it in the shuffle. Can you remind me who’s suing him?
That’s why I was asking. Maybe I was confusing it with one of his other problems. But if he isn’t sued for it, I’d like to know the reason why. Maybe civil rights violations just look cute next to everything else.
One of the iDJiT’s lapdogs got it dismissed.
They made it sound like trump’s photo-op right after clearing the square was just a coincidence! That they were already illegally clearing the square of peaceful protesters before CFSG’s posse showed up. It wasn’t planned at all! Christ!
And where are the pictures? And the fawning praise of him?
What is happening re trumpy’s subpoena?
In today’s WaPo (gift link).
The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack could issue a subpoena for Donald Trump, wading into what could be a prolonged, unprecedented legal battle.
…
If Trump resists the subpoena, the committee faces a number of hurdles in compelling him to comply that could ultimately end in a constitutional showdown, according to legal experts and congressional counsel with experience in congressional oversight and investigations.Trump has told advisers that he’d potentially be willing to testify live before the committee, according to people familiar with his thinking who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations. But in a 14-page response to the committee last week, Trump declined to say whether he’d cooperate with the subpoena and instead repeated false claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election — baseless allegations that fueled the attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Some on his legal team privately have said allowing their client to testify in any capacity would be a mistake. And multiple advisers say they don’t actually expect him to go through with testifying.
…
IOW blahblahblah.
subpoena has been sent.
“that you personally oversaw”
deadlines: 4 nov. for documents, 14 nov for testimony.
