Yeah, I don’t like her politics, but I watched her today, and was impressed.
Yes, they only had a short time to grab people and they did a crappy job with that. They got better but it could be too late now. They forgot that many of the people they were playing to have very short attention spans and need things in small bites.

Well, I guess Mike Pence was more of a stand up guy than I had previously believed.
I thought the testimony of Officer Edwards was very powerful. You really can see that she still suffers from having lived through that and her proximity to Officer Sicknick must just add to that terrible trauma.
I thought Liz Cheney was compelling. Some on the other side seem to think that since she wore blue, she’s a secret Democrat. I can’t reason with that.
I may have mentioned this before, but I have such a distinct memory of sitting in the living room with my father, shelling beans of some sort, while we watched the Watergate hearings. I recall his deep disappointment when he had to admit that he’d been fooled by Nixon. But he had the courage to admit he’d been fooled. I admire him for that.
I sincerely hope that I can convince some of the Trump fans I know to watch the hearings. I keep thinking I’ll “shame” them into it if I have to, but I’m not 100% sure that’s possible.
I wish they weren’t doing them so far apart. I’d like to binge watch.
I agree with most of the above comments and won’t belabor them. It’s astonishing to me that all of this happened only a year and a half ago. It seems like a distant memory for some reason, probably because of everything else that’s gone on over that time span.
I keep reading about primary wins and thinking that next time, the various elected officials are going to ignore the votes and declare the R the winner, no matter what.
Have they announced an actual schedule for these hearings? When is the next one?
J6 hearing schedule:
June 9: 8pm
June 13: 10am
June 15: 10am
June 16: 10pm
June 21: 10am
June 23: 8pm
So, only the first and last are prime time, the rest are during the day? That’s disappointing. I guess I’ll have to set my DVR and watch after work on those days.

I know, I remember! I was 11 years old and they messed up my summer game show watching! 
I just figured they’d have a bigger audience in prime time, but having them earlier in the day gets them on the evening news, so I guess it’s a fair trade off.
And frankly, the main reason to have them prime-time is to get the (real) networks to carry them. There is a limit to how often they’ll do that.
Would not be surprised if the committee checked with the networks re: prime time availability, tbh.
FWIW, C Span usually replays the important Congressional hearings in the evenings.
I’m impressed that they are even doing the opening and closing hearings in prime time, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. When I heard there would be public hearings on Jan 6th, I assumed they would all be held in the daytime.
And I remember the Watergate hearings, I was 15 or so. I had a summer job of sorts, my dad had invested in a friend’s new mass mailing business and my friends and I spent that summer in an office sorting envelopes by zip code while watching the hearings.
Major burn. Like many, I have little love for the Cheney family, but she has done the honorable thing by sticking to her principles and the rule of law, probably at the cost of ending her political career.
Are these hearings going to make it more difficult to find impartial jurors come trial time?
