Background: T trashed the dining room! Threw his lunch. Threw things several times prior when displeased.
Can you say you’re surprised? I note there was apparently a large amount of ketchup, as well.
this incident was when barr said there was no fraud, barr was on an ap interview.
Trump wasting a hamberder? Yeah, that surprises me a bit!
It’s good you’ve zeroed in on the most important details here.
Not in the least.
Ketchup … probably means that he eating steak, well-done.
a bit of a break. the talking head will go wild.
Cf. current thread on ketchup-flavored popsicles. Coincidence? I think not.
I thought hearing a while back that he wanted protestors shot was a stunner. The story about him lunging at the throat of his driver was a new level of craziness.
What a shocker. Little Donnie throws tantrums and his lunch. Actually I’m surprised that the glutton let his lunch go to waste. Throws a punch at his driver? Now that’s fucking crazy.
I think the most upsetting testimony so far is to learn that Trump 1) knew the crowd at the Ellipse was armed; 2) stated aloud that they weren’t there to harm him; 3) stated aloud that he wanted to join them at the Capitol; 4) he didn’t apparently care who they were there to hurt.
I guess we have a final definitive answer to the perennial question of what happens when the president insists on going somewhere the secret service doesn’t want to go. His security detail can apparently overrule him.
Recess. The take-aways so far:
Trump knew the crowd was armed, and didn’t care – even wanted to remove the metal detectors.
Trump was insistent on going to the Capitol, and got into a physical altercation with his driver when he wouldn’t go there.
Trump throws his food when he’s pissed off (like when Barr said there was no fraud)
I was struck by “let them come in. They’re not here to hurt ME”. Me me me me me. Doesn’t give a fuck who else the crowd might hurt.
This all sounds pretty 25th Amendment territory. To me, at least.
T posts: “I’ve heard very negative things about her.”
So not only did he know the crowd was armed, he wanted to lead them to the Capitol himself. This is the biggest insurrection since the Civil War and the coverup is unraveling.
To be fair, he said that he was going to and he’s been cast as a lazy ingrate by the (largely left leaning) media for saying “Let’s march together!” And then going home and just watching on TV.
here we go, round 2! gavel heard!
