Witness intimidation now broadly identified in L. Cheney’s closing remarks.
Should I be angry at the Secret Service for not indulging him?
The chair is throwing hella shade.
Chairman throws shade re: uncooperative witnesses.
…and some witness intimidation!
One connection that, if it’s successfully pursued, could be huge: Trump calling Proud-Boy ally Stone the night before the insurrection. If we can find out about that call…
now that is a profile in courage. brava ms hutchinson!
I hope they give her excellent protection, a bodacious book deal, and ultimately a good job.
I can only follow along on my phone. It’s hard to stop and try to look up terms like “throw shade”.
With 20/20 hindsight this hearing kinda makes me wish that the second impeachment didn’t happen. With more time they were able to make a much much better case against Trump this time around, but since they already first made their case 18 months ago its easier to dismiss it as old news.
They could always do Impeachment III.
Assistant to the Chief of Staff, not Deputy, so sounds like she’s Margaret.
Did Trump fight that guy in a …
Coup de Ville?
(Not sorry)
this is what i can not understand about the republican party. they had 2 chances to cut this guy loose and they wouldn’t do it. now they are looking at prison time.
Throw shade: “publicly criticize or express contempt for someone.”
Thanks.
I listened to the 2d half. Sure kept my interest - but wasn’t much that I hadn’t pretty much assumed had happened before.
Anyone able to point to a concise primer of where this might lead? What crimes might what bodies charge whom with?
Meadows sure comes across as a complete tool. And Ivanka was strongly in the “sane” camp. Interesting. But again, pretty much what every sane person assumed had been going on for the previous 4 years, and pretty much what the nut jobs think is just fine and dandy.
Yup. Possibly witness protection. Trumps morons went after an election workers grandmother for gods sake. Before she even testified.
I have to say though, none of todays testimony is even slightly surprising. And sure won’t change any MAGAT’s mind. They ADMIRE that asshole. They want to be just like him. Their problem is that they have a harder time getting away with breaking the law.
Wouldn’t have made the slightest difference to Senate Republicans who declined to look at any evidence, having made up their minds before the impeachments were handed down.
