Jane Fonda Cancels Bus Tour

Whoops, missed the salient bit:

All righty.

Er, because it was deemed to be more of a Pitting, one presumes.

Anyway, if it makes you feel better, I’ll decry it for being an especially lame IMHO thread.

Soldier’s mom’s? The “You Don’t Speak For Me, Cindy” tour was organized by none other than right wing extremist Sal Russo, who also brought us Move America Forward, and the Grey Davis recall campaign:

Some soldier’s mom’s were conscripted to provide credibility, but the organization is definitely an organized right-wing production.

Well, it appears that Iraq war protester Cindy has taken a turn from protesting the war to protesting the LA relief effort*. So one “soldier’s mom”, if protesting the war was indeed her original agenda, has moved on.

  • She is helping distibute needed supplies in the sticken area. There is no indication that this move is going to turn into a political grandstand, yet. I won’t say she is protesting until she actually releases a statement to that effect**.

** Even if she is protesting/grandstanding, if she can actually provide relief efforts, then that’s fine. It will be interesting to see how political her relief efforts become.

I would just like to apologize for bringing up Cindy Sheehan in a thread aimed at Jane Fonda. I wasn’t trying to hijack: just trying to point out that a similar high-profile protest had also been cancelled.

Jane Fonda was hot in “Barbarella”. I don’t give a dang which way your politics lean. And Anita Pallenberg, too.

She also looked great in that bikini in On Golden Pond

If it helps, P-3 are used for anti-submarine warfare. I don’t recall hearing that the any of the people we are fighting have any subs. Not to many places to use a sub Iraq or Afganistan. Furthermore, in the middle of the ocean where subs are found, you find very few cililians, innocent or otherwise. :smack: :wally
I can understand and respect other peoples views, but I have a real problems with idiots that don’t know what they are talking about.

But Rick, it’s not about Iraq. It’s about war and the use of the military at all! After all, those of us in uniform are supposed to be like the Palace Guard. You know, a tourist thing?

Not for long, it seems…she’s going to be in Raleigh this Thursday. Specifically, she’ll be setting up shop at NC State in the Brickyard. The article says hurricane donations are welcome at some speech she’s having later on that evening, but the whole purpose of the event seems to be protesting Iraq.

FALSE.

A flat out lie cut from whole cloth. As opposed to the other distortions.

Yep. In case it’s not clear, please note I was only offering that as an example of what the attack dogs are saying. I think it’s reprehensible to malign a women who is only stating her opinion.
