While I did see him on Cheers and Murphy Brown, I mainly remember him for his yearly telling of his Lone Ranger story on Letterman.
I remember him as restaurant owner Remo DaVinci on Mork & Mindy. R.I.P.
Trash as it was, I do remember him hosting Who Wants to Marry a Multimillionaire?
He’s very good in Mr. Holland’s Opus as well.
I remember when he got fired from 99X for playing a song he discovered but was forbidden to play. It was soon after that that he showed up on Mork and Mindy. But he will always be Carla’s hockey playing boyfriend/husband.
I’m a guy, I’m straight, I’m married; Jay Thomas had the best smile in all of Hollywood.
<—like this, but better.
I met him way back around 1989 or so. He was cool. Of course, he needed me to fill his propane bottle, so he kinda had to be nice.
I saw him on Mork and Mindy. I heard him as the morning shock jock on WKTU in New York. It was many years later I found out those two were the same guy. When Howard Stern made his big move from AM WNBC he replaced Jay Thomas on the air. Years later Jay Thomas had a show on Howard Stern’s Sirius channel.
