Barely an hour before the debate the father of an 11-year-old Ohio boy killed when an immigrant’s minivan crashed into a school bus lashed out at Donald J. Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, calling them “morally bankrupt” politicians spreading hate at the expense of his son, Aiden.
The death of Aiden Clark, who was thrown from the bus after the minivan driver, who is Haitian, veered into oncoming traffic just over a year ago, shook residents of Springfield, a blue-collar town between Dayton and Columbus.
But it was not until Mr. Vance took note in July that the city was thrust into the contentious national immigration debate.
This week, Mr. Vance doubled down, repeating scurrilous claims that people “who shouldn’t be in this country” were abducting and eating their neighbors’ pets in Springfield. Mr. Trump’s campaign amplified the baseless rumors, even after authorities debunked them.
“My son was not murdered,” he said. “He was accidentally killed by an immigrant from Haiti.”
“This tragedy is felt all over this community, the state and even the nation, but don’t spin this towards hate,” he said in his remarks at the commission meeting, which was live streamed.
Note that these immigrants are here legally and have work visas. These politicians are actively igniting a powder keg in this community. Fuck them.

Can someone please explain to me what the heck does Andy Kaufman have to do with anything about Vance, Politics& Elections or even a discussion?
Andy Kaufman’s style of comedy was largely based around trolling the audience. He would subvert the audience’s expectations by doing things like performing a dramatic reading of Great Expectations at a standup show, or by deliberately breaking script in a live TV performance and claiming to have a moral objection to the script, or by insisting on his opening act being himself in disguise as a vulgar lounge singer.
The implication being made is that JD Vance is in fact an alias that has been assumed by Kaufman after his supposed death from cancer in 1984, and that he has spent the subsequent decades positioning himself to become the Republican vice presidential nominee so that he could make a public mockery of the entire process by presenting himself as being utterly clueless and incapable of espousing the party’s policy without outright exclaiming their hidden disdain for the general public.
Also, some of Kaufman’s later antics appeared to be a desperate attempt to stay relevant/noticed, which is an exact correlation to CouchBoy.
It’s getting harder to believe that Vance isn’t just trolling us.

And he also takes a shot at those people who are notoriously opposed to making lots of money - Wall Street Banks.
I feel that Vance has become a nonentity in the campaign at this point.
He’s gonna have to up his weird-game to compete with Donnie “don’t eat my kitteh” Trump. Or Donnie “concept of a plan” Trump.

Most VPs are nonentities in most campaigns. They do some of the same touring and speaking, but to far less attention and typically zero adulation.

Listening to WABC this morning they said they had scheduled post debate interviews with JD and Tulsi Gabbard. Neither are responding to calls or emails.
