Agreed. The sooner the “establishment lane” thins the herd the better. Both for the Rs and for the nation. Doesn’t much matter how the thinning happens as long as it’s soon.
Although I for one am about ready to retire the term “establishment lane” and replace it with “establishment sidewalk”. Meantime the “radical lane” is being upgraded to a “radical highway”.

This race losing Jebya would be more like MASH losing “Spearchucker” Jones: A character that was grandfathered in from a previous iteration which was quickly removed for being too unbelievable, until people later realized he was one of the more believable parts about the whole thing.
Anyway, given that the two front-runners are now Frank Burns and Three O’Clock Charlie, we’ll have to see if any of the lesser insanities can come from behind to make the general election something closer to competitive.

I do think it’s ironic that despite his billions Trump’s twitter handle is @realDonaldTrump and not @DonaldTrump. Whoever owns @DonaldTrump is just sitting on it, he’s never tweeted but has almost 4000 followers. If I was one of the other GOP candidates I’d buy that twitter account and use it as an anonymous parody account.

I wonder if Bush dropping out will affect how wealthy political investors in the future spend money on politics. They invested at least $100 million in Bush and have nothing to show for it.
Then again, in the general wealthy investors will probably put a billion in and at least one side will lose.
