Jeet Yet ?

I had thought boiling hot dogs was the ultimate crime in destroying one of the basic guilty pleasures of American cuisine, which could be made worse only by eating it with ketchup. It seems I was wrong – MICROWAVING a hot dog???

It’s like you’re speaking a whole different language. I recognize the words but I’ve never seen them put together like that. BOILING? MICROWAVING? Are these frozen hot dogs? Not even all-beef?

I’m going fetal position now, sorry…

Let’s see you do a chicken soup.

Tonight’s dindin was nummy. Earlier today I cut some flank strip into strips and marinated in just a little olive oil and red wine vinegar. I lightly floured the strips and sauteed them with some 'shrooms. Then I made a roux. I added some beef stock and returned the steak to simmer for a bit. At the end I threw the 'shrooms back in. I steamed some carrots, bell peppers, onions, and broccoli florets and some rice. I served the steak, shrooms, and veggies over rice with the gravy.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Damn. I have not eaten yet and now I am even hungrier than I was before reading this thread.

What I am craving: steak.

What I ate: pork fried rice with leftover pork tenderloin, cabbage, etc. Very very tasty. Dessert is sherbet, ironical since it’s really cold over here… well, relative to the usual for Texas in mid-March.

Thai food, of course.

Although what I had last night (Friday night) might not be recognized by many as Thai food. A stir-fried macaroni dish with chicken.

Ah, but tonight the wife and I are going to a nice Lebanese restaurant here in Bangkok. The Cedar. The Lebanese proprietor owns this Lebanese restaurant here (two branches) and a Thai restaurant in Beirut.

Boil the Hot Dogs…Did you say BOIL the Hot dogs…BOIL THE HOT DOGS!!!
