I was fortunate to see Jeff Beck at the Berkeley Amphitheatre in 1980 and this was his set list
Going Down was the encore. At the end of the song, he used his thumbs to snap the bottom two strings, the middle strings, and then the top two strings. The last one looked like it kinda hurt, and he waved has right hand around a bit afterwards.
