Jeffery Epstein has been arrested for sex trafficking a minor

There needs to be a way to report vandalism. I looked, but without knowing about it, it looks like you just edit code on the page and there’s no one you can actually report to.

Last night, I saw brief update from a reporter about a ton of evidence being found that linked Epstein to a whole bunch of new people. I don’t know what else was in this evidence trove, but I’m wondering if that was the straw for him.

In the Maricopa County jail (downtown Phoenix) “suicide watch” means the person is stripped naked and placed in a small private cell that has nothing at all in it. I believe the lights are on 24 hours, and the person is checked all the time. IIRC they pee and poop in a hole in the floor. It’s humiliating and uncomfortable. It’s not something you want to be put in!

(No I wasn’t confined there. it was a tour.)

Same conclusion as me: Her response seems fishy and the evidence at hand supports the theory, though there is full-well room for that evidence to be explained in a different manner.

Which is to say, the allegations are unproven but don’t rest your political future on her.

I’m still checking, but it looks like you start a topic in the “talk” tab and the page managers are alerted to problems. There are several flags on the talk page now, including one about editors from opposing viewpoints are being recruited to update the page.

Evidently yes:

That was quick.

I hope more evidence verifying his death comes out. It is too easy to believe he is now in Costa Rica, down to his last $100m. In any case, this isn’t justice, and I am :smack: :smack: that it was allowed to happen.

Justice: real, or merely a word? You decide!

LOL, I promise you that you can report vandalism, considering I’m a Wikipedia administrator. I fought vandals for years. And I was one of the more prominent sock puppet investigators back in the day.

To report vandalism by anyone anywhere, you add an entry on this page:

There are admins who regularly patrol that and other reports to respond. We even have dashboards we set up that alert us about various reported issues and we will go respond to them.

The easiest way to deal with vandalism for any editor is to just undo the edit. You can report it if you like, but most vandals are one-and-done and in most cases there isn’t any action required beyond undoing the damage. Why warn or block someone that will never return? Especially if they don’t make an account and just post as their IP, in which case you’d be blocking everyone else who happens to use that IP in the future.

I did see that page, but I couldn’t figure out how to use it. Apparently you copy some code somewhere.

BTW: I got a couple of warnings for changing ‘the Clintons’ to ‘Trump’. :stuck_out_tongue: (I did figure out how to make an edit.) User ‘Plandu’ changed it back to ‘the Clintons’.

Don’t stop until you uncover the truth!

At the moment, the Wikipedia page says:

Found dead in prison of apparent suicide on August 10, 2019.[sup][14][/sup]

Let’s see how long that lasts!

A thought: Instead of trying to confront the conspiracy idiots head-on, how about we try to gently redirect them? Yes, sure, of course the Clintons had him killed. They’d do a lot to protect their close friends like Trump.

It forces people to talk to each other. The whole site is built around different people coming to a consensus, and edit-warring is the complete opposite of that. Not to mention 3RR is a “bright line” rule and it doesn’t have to stop at 3; it can happen earlier if it seems clear that two knuckleheads are refusing to engage each other and are just going back and forth editing.

Ted Lieu lays it out:

Lol, he deleted it and reworded the last sentence:

Alright, well, and you don’t stop until you’ve made sure that no one uncovers the truth?

I don’t care about Ilhan one way or the other. The question was raised, I investigated, I reported what could be independently confirmed. If you think that the right wing idiots manufactured fake social media screenshots, then prove it. I ain’t stopping you. I’m quite happy to encourage you to press forward and prove the truth. Any truthful outcome is truth and that’s cool by me, whatever it may be.

It’s fucking stupid. It gives the vandal the advantage.

Married her brother? Anyone can make “allegations”. Where’s the proof? Who (I mean a real news source) can back that up? And what does it have with this thread anyway?

Somebody else brought it up, Steve.

I like the first, more strongly worded version.

It’s hard to keep track.

Oh yeah, I see it, Sage was replying to someone.
