Thanks!
It looks like it’s based on Michael Wolfe’s reporting in Fire & Fury.
I have no access to it so I can’t confirm the quality of the information. I’ll have to do some Googling, later, to see if there’s any independent review of Wolfe’s reporting.
Nope, I’m not buying it. The conspiracy theories that is, because by default conspiracy theories are garbage. I simply refuse to be that damn credulous. His life was effectively over, he knew it and he’d already tried to off himself once. Occam’s Razor suggests he just made a second go of it and this time he succeeded.
This will be investigated to the hilt, simply because it looks hinky as hell. Whatever was going to come out will, eventually, come out. If he really was poisoned/ninja’ed/ strangled with the dark side of the force that will also come out and when real damning evidence of a conspiracy is presented I’ll shake my head and say a mea culpa. But I kinda doubt any of that nonsense is at play.
You’re probably right, Tamerlane. The chances of a prison hit are slim, but his death does look at least a wee bit suspicious under the circumstances – more so the timing than any actual physical evidence.
I am inclined to believe that he simply killed himself.
But, that said, I would say for example that it would be credible - if Manafort was working for the Kremlin - to think that he had to fear getting wacked if he talked. Putin really does send assassins out with radioactive pellets to kill people with.
If somehow Epstein could tie back to Trump, Trump is do amazingly good for Russian interests that I wouldn’t find it completely unreasonable for Putin to go for it.
But, that said, it is the less likely explanation. And, I think, it would require the involvement of Russian mafia who were in jail to pull off. If the only person who might have had access is a prison guard, Epstein killed himself.
(Or the FBI faked his death
)
Oh, no argument the timing makes it look particularly bad. It’s perfectly sane to have a suspicious feeling about the whole thing :). I just think it is incredibly unlikely. The very fact that the optics are awful will guarantee a lot of attention.
And really, the timing makes sense for a suicide as well. This new flood of damning releases is just the sort of thing to make a depressed, doomed abuser decide to give killing himself another try.
Let’s look at reality, er the law. In your opinion, what advantage does making a family member already eligible to be sponsored into the country as a family member into a family member eligible to be sponsoried into the country?
So he was a high profile suicide risk, yet was taken off suicide watch? Most conspiracies are nonsense with no evidence, but this just sounds like somebody emulating a certain dictator he may be obsessed with’s methods.
Well, I can agree with that. That could use a look regardless of how this went down. Why he was taken off the watch is one of the questions that need an honest answer. Good thing our current DOJ is… oh shit, forget honest answers. But It’s still a good question.
I very much doubt Trump can tie his shoelaces. He could not organize this. I don’t doubt that Trump was involved in Epstein’s ‘business’ and may have been involved to get girls involved in it in one way or another. Trump modeling agency’s etal? Uh huh.
Trump is a stupid fuck that would fall for Epsteins ideas.
Trump likes younger women.
Trump has be creepy as fuck about his own daughter.
it’s not about ‘No bridge is too far’. It’s just what he is. To him, it’s normal.
No idea. Potentially, they just did something dumb because they thought that they needed to do it when, in fact, they didn’t. Or, as I proposed earlier, just to cheat the timetable if they were in a rush and the marriage line was faster than the brother line at the moment…
The only thing for which there’s particularly good evidence is that the three of them lived together for a time, not that he’s her brother. It could be more an issue of hiding polygamy than hiding a blood relationship.
Or, again, it could be all completely benign.
I have not endorsed any one theory as correct. Pointing out questions raised by one theory doesn’t prove nor disprove much of anything because a) sometimes people do questionable things that are illogical, and b) every theory has questions raised. By equal measure: Why did she live with two husbands at the same time? Why did a seemingly smart and organized woman marry a random unemployed guy off the internet, two years her junior, with no job, when she’s either still living with her husband or a single mother of two? Like I said, questionable behavior is there whichever way you go. Unless someone has a theory that doesn’t have any, the presence of it doesn’t serve as evidence for nor against anything.
Cue Robert Stack.
The marriage line is the same freaking line as the brother line. There is not a marriage line and a brother line; there is an immediate family member line.
Did Epstein fuck Omar? If not, may y’all take it to the Omar thread, perhaps?
What the fuck are you people talking about?
I think he probably killed himself, but for that to occur, there had to be a major fuckup at the jail. Such a fuckup may have been accidental, or it may not have. We’ll see.
It’s hard for some to accept the fact that America is corrupt and we’re ruled by depraved monsters. If the Epstein story happened in Russia, our media would frame it as “symbolic”. Here, we’re assured Epstein “isn’t even a real billionaire” god forbid!
Epstein killing himself doesn’t preclude a conspiracy. If someone took him off suicide watch and made sure he had the tools available to kill himself, that would count.
Here’s something I haven’t seen mentioned yet, from this article on Yahoo News: Jeffrey Epstein’s death is a perfect storm for conspiracy theories
“Epstein, early in his career, was a protégé of Donald Barr, the father of Attorney General Barr, who hired him to teach at New York’s prestigious Dalton School despite his lack of a college degree.”
Apparently AG Barr was “livid” and “appalled” and said his death “raises serious questions that must be answered.” Indeed…
Someone who has already attempted wouldn’t need much of a verbal nudge to go over the edge.
