The bipartisan unity I have actually seen in multiple places (online) in regards to the suspicious circumstances of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged suicide is really remarkable. Even talking with neighbors on different sides of the aisle. It may be a sad state of affairs for people to get along despite ideological differences because of a filthy pedophile dying, but at least it shows we all have the same goal, to make sick fucking perverts accountable and brought to justice and wondering who his cohorts were and when/how they should be brought to justice.
This actually does seem like a legitimate conspiracy given the totality of circumstances being just a bit off kilter. This has a “feel” of more than just an institutional fuck-up or correctional guard falling asleep in his ‘bubble’.
Unless there is footage of him actually killing himself and/or an autopsy done by someone verifiable and independent, I will think someone with a lot of money and power wanted him quiet, because he probably was going to squeal. That or he paid and faked it like the 1980’s movie ‘F/X’ and escaped to an island, or Witness Protection.
I know, too early to judge/not enough info but I bet this story will go nowhere, it will just dissipate into thin air and won’t be spoken of again.
Tamerlane: Epstein said he wanted to spread his sperm throughout humanity. I find it difficult to believe that someone with an ego that monumental would kill himself.
He got a light sentence once because of his money and position, and I imagine he wasvain enough to think he could do so again.
It’s going to take a hell of a lot to convince me he committed suicide. At this point, I stick by my previous statement: Some of of the 1 percenters had him killed to protect themselves.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I believe he killed himself. But I also believe that it was entirely preventable had prevention been the goal.

The difference is that he was denied bail and he was looking at a really, really long time in with hard-core offenders. He would have been a target in prison, and he probably suspected as much. A guy with his ego and wealth, going from living like a king to possibly living in constant fear for your safety, being completely confined, and having every aspect of your life controlled…it was all probably too much. Perhaps in the initial days following his arrest he figured he had at least a snowball’s chance to get out on bail, enjoy home confinement while his high-powered legal team figured out how to refute the charges, maybe even get himself smuggled out of the country. When the judge refused bail, it was game over.
I do wonder how that happened.
It reminds me of the questions surrounding Whitey Bulger’s death and how he was transferred out of protective custody (IIRC!). This would be the second high-profile lapse resulting in death in the federal prison system in the past two years
That’s as close as I’m willing to go WRT conspiracy theories, though taking him off suicide watch was at least as likely due to incompetence as some nefarious plot. As much as I’d love to see Trump implicated, he and his cronies are far too inept to pull off something like this, and it doesn’t seem that Epstein was much of a threat to the Orange Peril anyway – who incidentally is now tweeting away that for sure the Clintons had Epstein offed. Not the kind of thing one usually hears from the President of the USA, but we’re used to it by now.
AG Barr certainly could pull such a thing off. Again, as much as I believe this was a straight up no-funny-business suicide, why the watch was lifted is an important question to have answered. Which brings up Barr. As far as accountability for that decision, expect some shit to be rolled downhill forthwith.

Until Trump himself started tweeting away about a Clinton conspiracy theory. Trump projects so much that you can be assured that if he accuses someone of something, then he did that exact thing himself.
I’m waiting for some kind of other shoe to drop. I can’t believe that someone with Epstein’s inflated ego would kill himself if it meant giving up the chance to drag down some of the associates who (at least in his opinion, and perhaps for real) hung him out to dry.
