Sure he’ll succeed. He’s already started phase 1; BLAME OTHERS AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Get out in front… blame someone… anyone… CLINTON! Ya, that’s the ticket!
Trump will muddy the waters, Barr will stifle investigation, and Faux News will carry the water. Trump’s idiot sycophants will fall in line as usual. Nothing will happen. Time to face facts; Trump has now taken over the governing apparatus of the country - I am in serious doubt about the integrity of the coming election.
That’s a CNN article from two years ago talking about the increasing rate of suicide in American prisons, when Aaron Hernandez killed himself. That upward trend since 2013 is probably not due to an increased number of staged political assassinations.
You don’t need to ‘hang’ to be strangled; secure a looped sheet to anything stationary, then insert neck through loop and twist your body around and around to tighten the loop, like wringing out a wet rag. Get it tight enough and it blocks venous drainage from the head, which leads to unconsciousness and death. This would work standing up or lying down too.
And that’s the thing that gets me. Why don’t they just fucking sue him? Are they waiting for him to lose? If he blamed me, it’d be for $250 million. Defamation 101.
Aren’t they all, the dotard and the Clintons, considered “public figures” and thus the slander/libel laws are a bit weaker regarding statemetns made against them?
Sure. But when we get to the next Orange-loving campaign speech and he blatantly says something like, “Hillary had Epstein killed! A great friend of mine!”, what then?
I’m asking because he gets away with saying basically anything. Even if he came out with something surely racist, it’ll get spun and forgotten about. But I really can’t imagine that scenario of spin happening with any previous presidents in my lifetime. (Since Nixon).
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
Not to that the FBI shouldn’t investigate it, but it’s probably simple incompetence or “things falling through the cracks”. And, if it isn’t, it’s reasonable to expect that anyone who could have pulled it off is going to be impossible to find and prove guilty. To a large extent, you’re better off to assume that there’s no conspiracy since, if there was one, you’re never going to get satisfaction from holding that belief.
Maybe I’m paranoid, but too much about this thing stinks.
Not on suicide watch (or was but then wasn’t)
“Room mate” removed
Protocol not followed regrading surveillance of Epstein (as in look the other way?)
I have to wonder if it was suicide, or if he had “assistance”. His death seems too convenient for too many rich and powerful people. It smells like a hit.
Yeah I’m more open to the idea that there was some kind of conspiracy involved than I normally am. But I still find it unlikely. If there was a conspiracy, it was a guy being paid to look the other way while Epstein hung himself, not a murder faked to look like suicide (I expect that would be too hard to pull off).
But like I said before, suicides happen in prison and have been on a recent uptick so a conspiracy isn’t required to explain what happened.
Yeah, sometimes prisoners fall through the cracks. But we’re not talking about random drug dealer number 6,792, here. We’re talking about the highest-profile prisoner of the year. There’s no crack big enough for him to fall through.
A conspiracy to passively let Epstein hang him himself is less straightforward (and thus harder to believe) than a conspiracy to murder him. The former puts all the control in Epstein’s hands, and it would require knowing not only he was suicidal but was suicidal at exactly the moment when the guards were told to look the other way.
