Jenny Jones reference in nipple article

I thought this was odd, and looked it up thinking Jenny couldn’t have been on until at least the mid-80s and was right; her show started in 1991 according to her own website. I can find no information that would suggest she had any career before that as one that explored this sort of strangeness. Additionally, Wikipedia suggests that her show was relatively tame until 1993; if she was known as a freak show promoter before getting her own TV show why wouldn’t it be the mainstay from the beginning?

This suggests there modifications that are made to these articles for the website; if not, either the date of the article is wrong or Cecil knew where Jenny’s career was going; while someone might scratch their head about the reference in 1979 but by the time a much larger group of people would read it online they’d be amused by it.

The obvious answer is that it’s been edited since print, but why?

Uncle Cecil’s articles are updated sporadically as they are added to the website from the original books, or as they are rehighlited on the front page. The dates of any edits are not noted, so this often leads to some interesting anachronisms.

They were also occassionally updated when printed in books as opposed to the original newspaper column.
