Given how the networks always cancel the shows I like, I doubt we’ll ever find out what happens next. That was the season finale and it hasn’t yet been renewed.
Unlike most network shows that start out bland, Jericho has gotten consistently better – at first I watched it for the “so bad its good” quality, but after the mid season hiatus I began to genuinely enjoy it on its merits.
I was pleased that Johnson finally died – first of all he’s dodged a lot of bullets, second, he was their ace in the hole, leadership-wise – the beloved mayor with extrensive formal military experience.
I’m curious how the “US” army will deal with the Jericho-New Bern conflict. The Bastogne reference suggests they will bail out the Jerichoids, but I suspect their actual tactics will amount to “carpet bomb 'em all and let god sort it out.” Be careful what you ask for, cause you might get it, sort of thing.
Didn’t Valente identify Hawkins as a “terrorist” and also assign the army to search for him? He wants the bomb, so he’d preferably want Hawkins alive to give him the location, or want Hawkins’ family kept alive so he can use them as leverage.
