jersey city, washington blvd what are they building?

(what are the chances theres a doper out there who knows this area and the answer to this question)

The area I am referring to is Washington blvd in Jersey City New jersey, right by the Newport-Pavonia PATH train station. They have been doing some major reconstruction on the median of the blvd for some time now. They’ve got some large walls built up so its impossible to see whats going on inside. I cant imagine what they might be up to, but i think it could have something to do with the Holland Tunnel. A little bit north of it there is what I believe to be a big ventilation station for the tunnel.

It’s a tour of something that opened last November, but maybe they’re still working on it?

Brick by crumbling brick, a 124-year-old tunnel that carries thousands of NJ Transit’s rail commuters to Hoboken is slowly coming undone.

The two-track north tube of the Bergen Tunnel will be closed in June for 14 months of major repairs – a roughly $43 million job that is likely to cause headaches for at least some of the 25,000 daily riders who travel into Hoboken.

its not the light rail which is a few hundred feet to the west.

Not sure about the Bergen tunnel but I’m looking into it…
