Jerusalem-Is a "BIBLE THEME PARK" The Answer?

Three religions find the ancient city of jerusalem to be holy. Much bllod has been shed for posession of this city, and its “holy” sites. Is the solution to this problem simple? What I propose:
make threee religious theme parks in the area-just like Disneyland. For example, yopu could move all of the Jewish sites (wailing wall, etc.) to an area a few miles off, and have the whole area populated with Jews. For Christians, set up a similar park, with the churches, garden of Gethsemane, etc. likewise). For the moslems, let them have the existing city, lock stock and barrel (minus the Jewish and Christian sites). Seesm to me this would make a lot of sense-each religion could have what it wants, inhabited only by people of that faith. So how much would the Disney Co. charge to construct these parks? Seems like a small price to pay for peace!

Interesting. But you might want to credit the inspiration for your post…

I don’t have a cite for it, but I believe, back in 1947/48, when the state of Isreal was being proposed, the idea was to make Jerusalem an international city, under control of the UN (I believe) since so many people wanted it. I have no idea whatever happened to that plan.

But a theme park?? I’m sorry, but turning some of the holiest sites for Jews, Christians and Moslems into a tourist attraction seems so … tacky :frowning:

More bllod, bllod, OG! OG!

Much better, don’t yopu think?

How about another theme park for the atheists down near where Sodom and Gomorrah used to be (Dead Sea). :stuck_out_tongue: [sup]a little [tit for tat](Top-Themen von A-Z: News aus allen Bereichen for tat)[/sup]

You mean it isn’t already a tourist attraction?

Hey, I’ve been saying to turn all of Israel over to Disney for ages on this board.

And it’d sure be a lot holier than what’s going on there now…

I saw on a show that claimed that one per cent of the people who travel to the holly city to do their religious thing, have holucinations of being one of the many biblical figures…they should rename it loonie city

OG SAY “COME TO HOLLY CITY!”
OG CAUSE HOLUCINATIONS!

OG SMITE LOONIES!

I’m thinking the answer is in the Bible.

I’m thinking it’s the whole “Love your neighbor as yourself” precept.

But then again, I’m not versed in the Torah nor the Koran, so I don’t know if that would really work.

If you’ve got a Bible, you have the Torah. The Torah is the first five books of the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy).

I went to the holly city once, but it was too prickly for my liking.

If you go to the West Holly City, you get more prick than prickle…
