I overheard what I suspected to be an urban legend today, that Jesse James had a tattoo on the palm of his hand that read:
PAY
ME
Assuming this would be easy to prove/debunk I Googled it, but came up with nothing. Am I to assume that this proves that it is indeed an urban legend? Or was this just mis-attributed, and it was actually someone like Abe Lincoln?
While I’m not the biggest fan of Monster Garage, I have seen an episode where he shows off said tattoo. The tattoo is off a green dollar sign with the words “PAY UP SUCKER” under it. The words are also green tinted. Hope this helps.
Yep, it is legit. They showed the tattoo on Monster Garage and during a pre-Monster Garage special on West Coast Choppers/Jesse James they showed him getting the tattoo done.
Huh…and here I thought you were talking about Jesse James, brother of Frank Jams, the bank robber, not the guy from Monster Garage…
I can’t confirm or deny the tattoo if you are indeed talking about old west bank robber, but maybe you heard about the Monster Garage guy’s tattoo, and didn’t know the show, so automatically assumed “Jesse James” meant bank robber…
or maybe the guy from Monster Garage got the tattoo BECAUSE the original Jesse James had one? hmmmm…now I’m curious!
It’s Jesse James the motorcycle builder/Discovery Channel host/Autozone pitchman, not the bank robber. One episode of the pre-Monster Garage show about his motorcycle business showed him getting the tattoo, because he was annoyed at someone for not paying him on time.
