Well I was just reading lissener’s reason for disliking Schindler’s List.
No lissener, Oskar Schindler did not save his people because he thought he could make a buck off of them. He was broke and destitute by the end of the war–having spent all of his money to save them, not including having been arrested himself twice. Yes, it’s unlikely that he was a perfect human being, but there’s no reason whatsoever to think that in this one act he wasn’t acting nobly, and there’s no reason whatsoever to think that Spielberg chose to portray Schindler for any reason other than because he thought the man deserved to be recognized.
Dislike the movie all you want, but don’t invent shit to justify it.
