Well I did not find it funny, but I also did not assume he actually kicked and therefore just consider statements like that hyperbole.
I don’t get too upset by the use of off-colored words, though I try not to use them, especially in writing. However the phrase does seem basically the female version of a more commonly used phrase of wanting to hurt someone badly.
Er, no. If I called that Phelps guy a gay-basher or gay-hater, I wouldn’t expect to be called that myself since I haven’t given any indication that I have any of those tendencies. If someone did call me that, I’d want some type of evidence of their claim since I don’t think any exists.
