Well I did not find it funny, but I also did not assume he actually kicked and therefore just consider statements like that hyperbole.
I don’t get too upset by the use of off-colored words, though I try not to use them, especially in writing. However the phrase does seem basically the female version of a more commonly used phrase of wanting to hurt someone badly.

What I’m speaking of here is someone calling someone else a name with just the same amount of evidence (i.e., practically none) as they had when they called someone the same name previously. Clearer?
