I’m not sure how I feel about this. I think this message underscores what previous past FLOTUS’ have done.
Some who were highly accomplished and hard working ladies.
I’ve been thinking Joe should make her Education Secretary.
Jill Biden was only teaching half-time at Northern Virginia Community College while Joe Biden was Vice-president, so I presume that she would only be teaching half-time while he is President.
Honestly, she may be better off being a full-time first lady. There are some expectations for the role, although a bunch of them are really dated and sexist (like the Christmas decorations that Melania hated doing). And of late, the FLOTUS has chosen a non-controversial cause to champion, so Jill Biden could probably do a lot more good by championing community college education in general than by teaching the few classes she teaches herself.
I think she would be excellent in that role (she has doctoral degree so her qualifications are certainly there).
Unfortunately, because of Trump’s nepotism and Trump’s attacks on Biden for nepotism, I think Biden has to steer clear of that if only for the optics of it.
Too bad though because I really think she’d be a great choice.
I don’t see why. Trump could have put Melania in roles for which she was uniquely qualified, as well. Maybe helping to uncover immigration fraud, for example.

The Secret Service will be spending a large amount of money to protect her there.
Unless she never leaves the White House they will be spending that money protecting her wherever she is.
I’m all for it. While I admire the work of some First Ladies who took a more traditional approach, I respect Jill Biden for redefining that role. Let’s face it: Melania didn’t do squat as First Lady. J.B. could do more than Melania if JB only did traditional First Lady stuff on weekends.
As for the Secret Service, she got that protection when her husband was Vice President, and it obviously didn’t interfere with her teaching. Students adapt.
